The house has a brand new mini split a/c unit as well as a wall a/c unit with additional fans/heaters (depending on the season) to keep you at the perfect temperature! There is an inside dining banquette as well as an outdoor dining area. We have a TV with Netflix and hulu that is connected to satellite internet. My stay at the Desert Daisy Casita was perfect. It is an upgraded and very well maintained homestead cabin with a boho interior theme. There are many great things about this place: Very clean and cozy Beautiful and logical kitchen design Hot hot tub under the stars Fire pit Extended patio for dining Far from the highway for that secluded feeling Very nice tile shower Great games and books (I recommend _Welcome the Wonder Valley_ by William Hillyard — informative history and creepy lore) Very clean and simple exterior. Heather was very responsive and considerate when communicating with me. It was a very welcoming and comfortable stay.

This was my second time staying here, and I’ll likely be back a third time. It’s clean, well appointed, and close to JTNP. What else could you ask for?

This was exactly as advertised and exactly what I was looking for in a weekend retreat. The house is 20 minutes from the Joshua Tree NP entrance, and secluded enough to have an incredible number of stars in the night sky. The house was well appointed and the hosts were thoughtful in their care. If you’re looking for an escape to the desert, look no further!

We had a great trip visiting JTNP and staying at the Desert Casita! We loved the accommodations and all the amenities. The house was clean and we so quiet and peaceful. It is quite a ways out from all the stores and restaurants but we did not mind! Owners are very responsive to messages!

The property was just what we were looking for and exactly as described. The host had thought of everything we might need - including things we hadn't considered - and provided lots of nice touches. A very quiet, comfortable, and enjoyable time in the desert. Got to see stars, roast marshmallows, and spend time together. We'll be back!

Cute house! Far enough from the town for great star gazing, but close enough if we needed anything. The cowboy pool was perfect to escape the desert heat while we watched a storm on the horizon! Will definitely stay again when we're in the area! Thanks!

Our stay here was great, we really enjoyed our visit! The rental was well stocked with supplies, especially the kitchen, which has many spices and all the utensils/dishes you'll need for cooking. The property itself is very secluded, meaning that the views at night are incredible! We saw many meteors just sitting out near the firepit, and the Milky Way is visible at pretty much all times. Views of planets and other DSOs are good as well, not quite complete dark but very close to it! There is very little obscuring the sky as well so the stargazing here was overall excellent. Small comment is that the bedrooms do tend to get a bit stuffy given that they don't have an attached A/C units to either of them, but as long as the main units are running and the rooms are left open it's not very bad at all. They also have fans, which helps a lot! Also, the road leading in is all dirt for the last 1.5 miles; not unexpected given the area, but just something to note for anyone considering it! If you have a smaller car like we did, you'll want to take it nice and slow through there. The hosts were very communicative and did a good job of staying in contact for any need/questions. Wifi was also surprisingly good, we were able to stream a few shows and some music during our cooking/down time. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and could easily recommend the property to anyone looking for a place to stargaze, or even just as a getaway close to Joshua Tree!

Communication about our stay was super seamless. Once we arrived everything was clean & cozy. The outdoor pool was the main character of the stay. It helped cool us off while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Also stars at night here - beautiful!
