Cute house in beautiful, peaceful location

The place was overall very nice and had a lot of supplies. My problem was that I had two places to choose from - one right in Ouray, which was our destination and this one. We ultimately chose this one solely because of the two person tub in the master bathroom shown in the pictures. This tub in the photos is not in the house. I feel this is false advertising and we should get a credit. There is a small jetted tub downstairs, but when we turned it on, black mold came out so we could not use it.

The upstairs bedroom was warm and the added air conditioner in the bedroom didn’t help much. I would also say the furniture and such is quiet dated and the towel rings/holders in the upstairs bathrooms need adjusted or tightened as they fall off if you try to hang a towel. It’s a nice home but needs a couple adjustments.

Amazing property! Absolute gorgeous location and adorably rustic house. The property was clean and had everything we needed. Our only disappointment was not being able to use the pellet stove as it was out of season.

Overall a good property to stay in and recommended.Pros:- Very private and peaceful - super quiet.- Situated in the valley amid farms giving a rural atmosphere.- Beautiful views down the valley to Ouray.- Great location between Ouray and Ridgway.- Kitchen well stocked.- Very nicely furnished and decorated.- Beds were comfortable.- VRC management company was excellent and very responsive.- Good Verizon cell coverage.Cons:- Wifi was pretty slow at 7-8MB up/down over satellite and sometimes dropped to 2-3MB. We had no problems with our Apple TV but computer Wifi was slow and had issues at times.- We visited for two weeks in July and the temps hit the lower 90s and the up stairs bedroom was just too hot to sleep in (never cooled off).- No A/C except for a very small unit in the upstairs bedroom which really couldn't cool the space.- You can smell cows from time to time.- The blender would not work but VRC replaced it same day.- The coffee maker carafe was missing (glad we brought our own coffee maker).- The BBQ only had one row of burners that was working and it would not get hot enough to grill. The owner came by and worked on it but we did not try it again.- Mosquitos: the irrigated pastures produced a LOT of the buggers.- Kitchen is somewhat small and challenging it you intend to do a lot of cooking.- Windows on the north side of the house were very dirty.

Is located in an easily accessible, yet rural location so it was great for enjoying the peace and quiet, wildlife viewing, and nighttime star-gazing. Very nice daytime view of the mountains as well. Only real potential drawback is the upstairs master bed and bath are very difficult to keep cool during the hottest summer daytime temps. A working split cooling unit for the upstairs master bed/bath would be a wonderful addition to this otherwise perfect vacation rental.

We loved how quiet it was and all the wildlife we saw every day. We would 100% stay here again!

Great location close to Ouray. Perfect rural setting off the beaten path. Arrived after dark, had hard time finding the house. Communication was outstanding and helped us with navigation. Highly recommend this beautiful peaceful home.

The home/cabin is older and worn in places, but it is very clean and has new appliances, linens, kitchenware, and comfortable furniture. There is no A/C so it's warm upstairs, even with the fan provided. The location is very isolated and quiet (which we liked), but a quick drive (less than ten minutes) to downtown Ouray or Ridgway for groceries and restaurants. It was easy to check in and out and communicate with the property managers. We had no issues during our stay. Thank you!
