3118 Yellow House Main - Walk to the Aquarium!

It was beautiful inside and out with the best stocked kitchen I have ever experienced. Sanctuary really does a better job than others. We talked to them to get our check in code and check out details the old fashioned way. They were great. Always helpful. You won't be disappointed if you stay here. House has a million dollar location.

Kitchen was great!

This is a beautiful well taken care of older home with lots of character. The decor is a mix of the old with the new including newer appliances, and updated electrical systems! The clawfoot tub wasn't available due to a leak The kitchen is perfect for multiple people to work in with 2 sinks, and all the kitchen accessories and tableware are well selected and coordinated. Irma the owner is a lovely lady who cares a great deal about children so none of the windows will open beyond the point where they can crawl out! Not to worry there are plenty of tower fans to help move the air, however you're very close to the ocean, & can hear the waves, so air moves! ! The proximity of the house to the walking trails along the coast and sites like the Aquarium are all close by and easy to get to in about 5-10 minutes. Right across the street is a stunner Victorian B&B that you can sit in the bay window view as well as the ocean. All the neighborhood houses are well maintained and you feel very safe in the area. Our family absolutely loved our time in The Yellow House, and everyone [8 of us from 3 mo to 78], especially our almost 3 Toddler wanted to stay longer and not go home just yet! We definitely plan on returning to The Yellow House again!!

We had the best week at the big yellow house for my Birthday. The location was perfect and within walking distance to town. The only thing we were sad about was the tub was not working. I would definitely stay again, we didn’t want to leave!!

The four bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs were very roomy and comfortable. We enjoyed the views of the ocean from the living room. The kitchen is well equipped. The location is perfect for exploring not only Pacific Grove but also the rest of the Monterey Peninsula. Great restaurants and shopping close.

Property was close to everything and the view was spectacular!!! We had four generations staying and we all had a wonderful time!

Beautiful location and view. Well laid out and well stocked kitchen. Lots of spaces for socializing. But, too many notes starting with please don't. Broken bathroom door latch, tub that couldn't be used, no shoes in house, window shades that can't be adjusted, finicky lock box and front door latch, only one key available for use by 6 adults. I will probably book another place next time.

The view, location and energy of this house can’t be overstated. Simply gorgeous. The decor and fixtures are all dated but this somehow adds to the charm. The king bed was VERY comfortable- no complaints from the other sleepers. The tv in the master suite is very old and I couldn’t get it to work. The clawfoot tub was not functional. No AC but it wasn’t needed. It would get warm inside for about two hours late each afternoon. At night it would get chilly; and this despite the fact that the windows don’t work or barely open. Irma was lovely to deal with. But again, and this is important: the houses overall feel was lovely. The location was perfect (there’s a little cove with tide pools and sandy area less than 100m from the door). So relaxing and comfortable. You want this rental unless you’re a stickler for modern amenities. Beach vibe from old Cali. Thanks Irma! Dave

We loved this house. It was so homey, and the view was beyond beautiful. We all took morning walks because the house was across the street from the walking trail.

This is an historic house within walking distance of restaurants, walking/bike path and other activities. The manager was very helpful.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. Had plenty of room for 8. Location to the shore and views are stunning. Every morning was welcomed by the sound of the waves. Also walkable to Cannery and Wharf to enjoy the scenes. Homeowner was very approachable and enjoyable to talk to. When we checked in, she made herself available in case anything was needed so we felt comfortable.

Once again, the Yellow House was amazing. It has become our go to place for family vacations with our son and his family. The location is perfect - beautiful views and walking distance to Lover's Point and Cannery Row and the Aquarium. We are are already looking forward to our next visit.
