The house itself was great and we had a really nice time staying there. It is worth noting - it’s on the top of a mountain that does give great views but really requires 4 wheel drive. If you’re going in the winter, know it’s pretty treacherous. Also - it was painful trying to get a hold of anyone that could help with internet that was not working. Had fine cell service in most of the house but the internet didn’t work the entire time we were there which isn’t great when you’re on the top of a mountain.

We stayed a weekend in July. Had an event at Owls nest. House was clean, well stocked, nice decor, view was amazing. Needed more AC perhaps, moist in basement, musty smell. Near the venue, but Road to get there was very steep and winding. Dark at night and treacherous in rain, or I can only imagine snow! Wish I knew this ahead of time, So we’d opt to stay on Owls property next time, was too inconvenient to go up and down this crazy hill to get to a store or anywhere. Clubhouse had lots of amenities, but tag only includes one guest and have to pay 20 per person and pay to rent equipment like paddles for pickleball, and more money to rent towels. Driveway hard to park in with multiple vehicles, and tough to get out of. Dark at night around property. Limited dining options nearby. Overall, ok stay. Probably would not stay again because of the hill.

Property was unlivable- bottom floor had zero livable space (3 bedrooms not usable- no floors, beds, furniture, etc.). No one communicated any of this to us prior and the property was still rented out. We have 4 young children and had to scramble to find a new house to stay in for the weekend late at night. The rental company worked with us to find a new property however. CHECK WITH OWNER BEFORE BOOKING.

We stayed for two nights for our annual girls Christmas weekend. The house was beautiful and the views were stunning. The fireplace, comfortable living room, kitchen and dining table were perfect for our needs. We had been hoping for a little snow to make it feel Christmasey, and we got our wish. However, what the write up for the house does not tell you is that the section of mountain the house is on is a private mountain that does not get plowed unless there is 4 or more snow. That includes the driveway. It snowed pretty much the entire time we were there on and off, and the last morning we woke up to another 6. Which is no big deal to women born and raised in New England, had we driven four wheel drive vehicles! One of us had a small SUV that handled the drive up and down the hill (which was a little treacherous) but another woman got her smaller car stuck in the driveway. We contacted Vacasa, who is the management company for this house and we were told to look for a shovel and to hand shovel the entire driveway out. We were thankful that we were able bodied enough to do so. Had we not been able to, I would have had to call AAA. While we enjoyed the house and our weekend very much, the management of the snow left us disappointed. To whomever is planning a winter stay, just be sure to be ready to shovel and drive a 4 x 4! :)

Overall, this was an easy 5/5 stay for myself and my family (6 adults). We were taking a trip up to celebrate my parents' 70th birthdays, and this house had it all. The view was truly spectacular, the kitchen was really well stocked and a great area to gather to cook some meals. The 50's room was awesome, perfect for some Mario Kart game sessions, and it gave us great access to some of the local tourist attractions. I would 100% recommend this Vrbo to others. Note: The only downside was that the wi-fi was spotty at times (which was frustrating when we were trying to watch a sports game) - but this is in the mountains of New Hampshire, so I'm grateful there was wi-fi at all (and it worked well most of the time). Also, bring extra dishwasher pods, paper towels, and other supplies if you intend to use the kitchen a lot. There was a starter pack of supplies provided, but that only lasted us a couple of days.

We enjoyed our stay at this sprawling home! The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms nicely updated. The kitchen was a great place to gather and cook and the best part was the stunning view of the mountains. We can’t wait to book again next summer!

Had an error with the house upon entering in but was quickly resolved with VRBO and management of household. House was beautiful and had amazing views. The large layout of the house was able to keep everyone sleeping soundly. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting a quiet getaway.
