Come and stay at this 4400 sq ft home on 13 private acres. Forests and gardens surround you with a view of Grandfather Mountain, only minutes from Linville Falls, Linville Gorge, and Parkway. See pics.
We accept only one booking at a time, providing plenty of privacy whether 1 or 6 guests are in your party. (Please list all guests. Thank you)
The house is cozy and artistic. There's a beautiful large flagstone patio with a pond and flowers. Over the last 3 years, we've renovated the house, spending $400,000 to make it a warm experience. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms are available on the upstairs floor (one with a view of Grandfather Mountain). Enjoy the downstairs, large living room with fireplace, dining room, and additional bathroom exclusively for your use.
My husband & I are located on the other side of the house in our private section downstairs, allowing the main house for your privacy.
This is a B & B. In the morning, I become your private chef and provide a SUPER DELICIOUS organic breakfast w/ our own chicken eggs, veggies, chicken breakfast sausages/or, free-range bacon, bagels, berries, great coffee, etc. Weather permitting, I serve breakfast outside on the patio.
We also have excellent Wi-Fi, and there is no issue with movie streaming. We have a TV with access to Netflix and a DVD player with DVDs.
There is a small refrigerator for guests. We provide towels and sheets, shampoo, etc.
In addition to the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs, we have a Tao's sofa downstairs in the living room that opens up to 2 separate full-size single beds. There Is another private full-size bathroom off the living room.
The stovetop and oven in the kitchen are available for limited use. You can heat pre-made meals or prepare something simple, such as pizza, sandwiches, tea, coffee, or snacks. Just 3 minutes from the house is Famous Louise's Restaurant, where they serve home-cooked lunch and dinner. I highly recommend the fish and chips! They are open from Wednesday to Sunday. Additionally, The Tin and Trout, located 11 minutes from the house, offers fresh trout delivered daily. They are open Wednesday through Saturday, from 11 AM to 8 PM
Banner Elk is 25 minutes away with many good restaurants.

***We have three well-behaved dogs on the property. They have access to our side of the house and the outside. Our crazy 5-year-old malamute, Koda, will offer the free service as a leashless tour guide. He'll take you for a forest walk around the property. Just say the magic word, 'walkies,' and off he goes. We also have free-ranging chickens.
This unique home is in a wonderful estate, surrounded by gardens and forests, creating a peaceful destination. We aim to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Beautiful, spacious property and house. Tastefully decorated. Friendly host, and dogs. Such a treat to have breakfast cooked fresh each morning. Lovely environment to stroll around and enjoy the outdoor space. Picked blueberries on the bushes outside. Haha, the host let me fetch the fresh eggs from the chicken coupe. Tucked away in the mountains. Very close to the winery, and a great little restaurant called the Tin Trout. Would highly recommend.

Tanya is such an amazing hostess and the house is Fantastic! We wanted to get away from the city and this was the perfect place. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fire all evening and when it was time for to go to sleep the beds were more than inviting. Very comfortable with plenty of pillows and sheets. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise and a delicious breakfast prepared by Tanya. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back!

The residents of this beautiful home, Coda, Cassidy, and Mammoth, were friendly and even affectionate. And their owners, Rob and Tanya, were great!(Hah!) Tanya's breakfasts were the perfect start to each day and sitting in front of the fire the perfect end. The king-size bed was very comfortable and the extra large and fluffy towels were greatly appreciated. All-in-all a wonderful experience.

The home was exquisitely remodeled to a modern, rustic tee. Our stay was brief but it was like being transported to the top of the highest mountain. The hosts' hospitality, shared company, and their fabulous home-cooked breakfast made us forget all the chaos in the world. We enjoyed a morning chat with the hosts as their 3 dogs lay at our feet enjoying the familiar sounds of conversation. The accommodations were on a par with 5-star excellence. There were plenty of places inside and outside to sit and relax while taking in the mountain scenery. Our favorite outdoors spot was the newly redone slate patio that allowed us to be out in nature just 50 feet from the house. Indoors, we loved the chairs by the large picture window looking into the woods as well as the couches in front of the fireplace. However, because we are southerners, we spent most of our time at the kitchen bar or patio dining table sharing stories of our life's adventures. If you are looking for a chic chalet, then you've found the perfect spot. Luxurious bedroom and bath accommodations to handle an entire family allow you to feel spoiled and pampered all throughout the stay. Cooler mountain temperatures allowed us to enjoy a fresh breeze through the windows in the morning and evening and when the temperatures rose, the AC provided the perfect solution. We would DEFINITELY stay here again and recommend to all our family and friends for the best getaway anyone can ask for along the Blue Ridge Parkway

Just a wonderful stay all around. Great location to then visit much of the NC Western Mountains. We did day excursions to Linville Falls, Boone, Banner Elk, Linville, Grandfather Mountain, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Very inviting home with a lovely patio area. Wonderful breakfast each day with much more than we could eat. And extremely tasty to say the least. Great weekend.

A perfect home for a mountain getaway. Tanya was welcoming, communicative, and the most generous host. She ensured that we had coffee and breakfast every morning before we headed out for long days celebrating my sister's wedding in the area. Tanya's home was clean, quiet, and a fantastic home base for our long weekend (with incredible views of Grandfather Mountain as a bonus!). I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you!
