Stayed Jul 6, 2022Beautiful, spacious property and house. Tastefully decorated. Friendly host, and dogs. Such a treat to have breakfast cooked fresh each morning. Lovely environment to stroll around and enjoy the outdoor space. Picked blueberries on the bushes outside. Haha, the host let me fetch the fresh eggs from the chicken coupe. Tucked away in the mountains. Very close to the winery, and a great little restaurant called the Tin Trout. Would highly recommend.

Stayed Jan 14, 2022Tanya is such an amazing hostess and the house is Fantastic! We wanted to get away from the city and this was the perfect place. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fire all evening and when it was time for to go to sleep the beds were more than inviting. Very comfortable with plenty of pillows and sheets. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise and a delicious breakfast prepared by Tanya. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Stayed Oct 25, 2021The residents of this beautiful home, Coda, Cassidy, and Mammoth, were friendly and even affectionate. And their owners, Rob and Tanya, were great!(Hah!) Tanya's breakfasts were the perfect start to each day and sitting in front of the fire the perfect end. The king-size bed was very comfortable and the extra large and fluffy towels were greatly appreciated. All-in-all a wonderful experience.

Stayed Aug 20, 2021The home was exquisitely remodeled to a modern, rustic tee. Our stay was brief but it was like being transported to the top of the highest mountain. The hosts' hospitality, shared company, and their fabulous home-cooked breakfast made us forget all the chaos in the world. We enjoyed a morning chat with the hosts as their 3 dogs lay at our feet enjoying the familiar sounds of conversation. The accommodations were on a par with 5-star excellence. There were plenty of places inside and outside to sit and relax while taking in the mountain scenery. Our favorite outdoors spot was the newly redone slate patio that allowed us to be out in nature just 50 feet from the house. Indoors, we loved the chairs by the large picture window looking into the woods as well as the couches in front of the fireplace. However, because we are southerners, we spent most of our time at the kitchen bar or patio dining table sharing stories of our life's adventures. If you are looking for a chic chalet, then you've found the perfect spot. Luxurious bedroom and bath accommodations to handle an entire family allow you to feel spoiled and pampered all throughout the stay. Cooler mountain temperatures allowed us to enjoy a fresh breeze through the windows in the morning and evening and when the temperatures rose, the AC provided the perfect solution. We would DEFINITELY stay here again and recommend to all our family and friends for the best getaway anyone can ask for along the Blue Ridge Parkway

Stayed Sep 18, 2025Just a wonderful stay all around. Great location to then visit much of the NC Western Mountains. We did day excursions to Linville Falls, Boone, Banner Elk, Linville, Grandfather Mountain, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Very inviting home with a lovely patio area. Wonderful breakfast each day with much more than we could eat. And extremely tasty to say the least. Great weekend.

Stayed Apr 19, 2024A perfect home for a mountain getaway. Tanya was welcoming, communicative, and the most generous host. She ensured that we had coffee and breakfast every morning before we headed out for long days celebrating my sister's wedding in the area. Tanya's home was clean, quiet, and a fantastic home base for our long weekend (with incredible views of Grandfather Mountain as a bonus!). I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you!
