Beautiful 1950’s home close to downtown. Grocery store and restaurants close by. We had a wonderful 3 night stay. The house was clean with everything you need in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. Very nice living and dining area. It is a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful private backyard area with plants, flowers and birds singing. We loved the 50’s bathrooms which were very clean. Super easy contact with the host. We would stay here again. M Arnold

We absolutely loved our stay here. The neighborhood is gorgeous. We went on walks everyday through the neighborhood and everyone was kind and the streets were quiet. The home has a nice yard and a cute sitting area. The kitchen has everything you could ever need. There were snacks and wine for us which was very thoughtful! It also had some Christmas decorations for our stay which made it feel so homey! Will definitely book again if we visit for Christmas again!

Perfect spot to base your Austin exploration

The online listing for this property pretty much tells the whole story. My son and I visit Austin every year in the early fall to eat bbq and shop. This property is conveniently located near too many shops, markets, groceries, bars and restaurants to list. The house was built in the 50s but has some very modern amenities especially in the kitchen. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. It takes just a few minutes to get to the Loop or to Lamar. There’s an HEB close by. The bedrooms, living area and kitchen are plenty spacious and clean. All of the furniture was comfortable and clean…including the beds. It was still warm outside but the AC kept the whole house comfortable. Only 2 “issues” that I hesitate to even mention. The bathrooms are definitely 50s style: small, no counter space and the shower head was at my shoulder. The driveway was a bit narrow and steep but didn’t cause any significant problems. We would 100% recommend this property AND will likely rent it again.

This house was perfect for what we needed. It was clean and comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet and close to every place we wanted to go.

This was by far the best property we have ever stayed at! I would recommend some notes about the driveway. It is very steep and difficult for to get a low car in without scraping. Perfectly restful house and neighborhood…We really enjoyed ourselves!!

Had a wonderful stay in this charming, well appointed home while celebrating our son’s graduation from UT Austin Law. Beautiful neighborhood, close to everything. Would highly recommend and definitely return.

What a beautifully peaceful neighborhood and house! Great place for walking. The actually accommodations were lovely- nice yard, fresh, clean, interior, for a nice change: all the basic kitchen ware for eating / cooking on site. Beds and baths were 5 star! One of the most comfortable places we could have expected or hoped for. AND easy access to most places of interest. I would totally book this place again!
