Some of it has been updated.
BEACHES:
The house is a 3-5 mile drive from most of Scituate beaches. Beach names so you can look them up - Peggotty (closest), Minot, Sand Hills, Egypt & Humrock (farthest). For Parking you would need to purchase a weekly (maybe $50) parking sticker at the town hall https://www.scituatema.gov/town-clerk/news/town-clerks-office-hours & you will need your rental agreement & car registration. There are a few space at the back of Peggotty that people can park at if your a early bird. Another option would be to park at St Mary's Church in Scituate Harbor & walk down to Peggoty or park at the light house and walk down to Sand Hills both quite a hike. The website for the town hall look up: scituate MA if you want to get a sticker it's not a very good website it might be best just to call 781 545 8700.

Perfect rental for our transition into our new home. We needed a home between home moving and this was it! Thank you again!
We spent the better part of the summer on the property. It was a great experience! Easy access to beaches- ferry into Boston Lovely deck that was perfect to host family and friends. Elaine was a fabulous host - very attentive and responsive. Home is very comfortable - quiet neighborhood - friendly neighbors. We will be back!
I recently had a great stay for a family reunion . The house/location was perfect.. Nice and quiet but close enough to whatever you may need. Elaine was a great host.. very responsive and welcoming. I highly recommend!
My family travelled to the South Shore from Arizona to spend time with family during the Fall season to enjoy the beautiful New England atmosphere and foliage. This home provided a great family space that was comfortable and a good gathering place both inside and outside with a wonderful patio. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
The property owner was responsive and communicated in a timely manner. The property was perfect for our older golden retriever but renters do need to be aware the road is busy in front of the house. Awesome deck (recently added). Loved the comfortable couch (not all our VRBO’s have had comfortable sitting areas. The TV is huge and easily run with access to Netflix, Hulu, Apple, etc. Plenty of fans helped spread out the bedroom air conditioning. Remodeled bathrooms have luscious deep towels. (Note to older renters - toilet seats are low and with remodeled higher bathroom vanities it is difficult to get off the toilet seat. TMI I know but it caused a problem for us). Condiments stocked in the kitchen was much appreciated as we cooked most our meals. The welcome basket was a very nice touch. Gracious hostess!
A wonderful property and host. Highly recommend for others!
I enjoyed my stay in Scituate. It was close to family and great restaurants. I spent many hours on the deck and my dog loved exploring the yard.
Nice place. Close to everything
This house is a very comfortable vintage rancher in a quiet residential neighborhood across from a cranberry bog that was flooded for harvest while we were there--doesn't get more New England than that! The purpose of our trip was to visit family in the area where I grew up so we weren't the usual tourists. Had we been tourists (and we've done this in the past), we could have easily taken the train to explore Boston, driven to Plymouth for the Pilgrim experience, ventured off to Cape Cod or visited nearby beaches in the quaint town of Scituate. Our lodging was ideal for getting together with family and just kicking back and relaxing--our intent for this trip. The owner was super-responsive and very pleasant to deal with. All in all, it was just what we expected and hoped for in a family visit. As we drove away at the conclusion of our stay, my husband remarked I like this house. I'd stay here again!
