3 bedroom home located within a mile from downtown

I booked the property then second guessed it but I was surprised when I checked in. I will definitely book again when visiting family

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the inside of the property. It was nicely decorated and comfortable. However, the shower didn’t get above lukewarm, we couldn’t get the heat to warm the house above 53 degrees the last night we were there, and someone got into my car and tore my mother’s present and stole a tool. It’s a very sketchy neighborhood. The heat and showers will hopefully be fixed, and then it will be a great place to stay. Just don’t leave any valuables in the car.

The home was clean and spacious but the neighborhood is not the best! Alot of late night activity from a very dark house with zero lights across the street. But anyone that passed by was friendly. It worked in a pinch, but I wouldn't do it again. Or feel comfortable with my daughter staying there alone either.

This place was ok. The neighborhood is definitely in the older part of town, and the other reviews saying this was a DIY fixer upper or flip are accurate. For what it is it's not bad but there are some things you'll want to know before staying. First, communication was iffy and we didn't get a lot. I inquired a couple of times about trash bags and never got any answer. I asked about toilet paper and after long wait got a response back that only 2 rolls per bathroom are provided and beyond that it's the guest's responsibility to buy more. There were no checkout instructions so we guessed at a lot. You also have to know going in that it's an old house and that the windows are not sealed well. You'll hear people out on the street, cars going by, and the train horn without trouble. If this is disconcerting to you it might not be the place for you.Someone tried to fix the place up but did it on a serious budget with some things going on like a missing bathroom cabinet door, unsecured dishwasher, loose floor tiles, and gaps in the wall around outlets, etc. It just doesn't feel quality but for the price it's cheaper than a hotel. The plus is that the beds were comfortable and whereas others said there wasn't good hot water, we did have plenty of hot water for 6 of us. It has laundry in the house and the wifi is solid.

It was dark when we arrived, there were people out on the street, loud, carrying on and we could smell marijuana real strong. There were horns honking and loud voices outside that we did not feel safe. The steps were soft, lacking paint, the inside doors were dirty, which made us wonder what else was dirty. The soap was watered down, mostly water. We did not feel safe and I sat on the sofa all night, we left in the morning loosing our money for the next three nights. Horrible situation. No refund, for the 3 nights not experienced. Can’t believe you actually list this place and it had a rating of 8.

Nice place, very spacious had everything we needed

This stay was awesome. Communication was fabulous. House was clean and cozy and the guys were super comfortable. If you are ever in Sumter and need a place to stay, I highly recommend this place.

Place was nice and very accommodating. Will definitely stay again when visiting again.It could have been alittle bit cleaner but overall a pleasant stay.

The property is cute, main living space is large, bedrooms, both master and second room spacious. Bathroom in master, huge plus. Don't expect to sleep in. The train is loud and statts around 5:12 am. Washer/dryer, major plus, tv's in all bedrooms-wonderful., close to center of town good bang for the buck. Host was extremelyhelpful and kind.

House needs work. Looks like someone bought this recently and try to do a quick upgrade floors in rough shape
