The home itself strikes a rare balance: the footprint of a proper beach house with the soul of a Lowcountry cottage. A long, deep front porch — a nod to the historic homes of Charleston, just 15 miles up the road — sets the tone before you even walk in. Inside, shiplap walls, soft coastal colors, and thoughtfully chosen furnishings channel the classic Sullivan's Island cottages of the 1800s, updated with every modern comfort you'd actually want on vacation.

The kitchen is built for real cooking — granite counters, stainless appliances, a Keurig for slow mornings, and room to spread out when it's time to pull together a Lowcountry boil. - Street legal golf carts (LSVs) are permitted in this neighborhood. However, trailers are not allowed in the resort, so carts must be rented and cannot be brought from home. Please contact a local rental agency such as JustBeachyCarts.com for more information.
- Unfortunately, pets and ESAs are not allowed in this home. If undisclosed animals are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval, there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Fireplaces are not for guest use.
- Trailers and motorcycles are not allowed inside Wild Dunes.
- Guests have access to the Pelican Bay pool, and to the cafes and restaurants at Wild Dunes. Any other amenities or recreation at Wild Dunes, including golf, tennis or the spa, must be booked separately.
- Please note that due to natural coastal conditions, beach areas may experience periodic erosion that can affect shoreline size and accessibility. During periods of high tide, portions of the beach—or the entire beach—may be temporarily inaccessible. We are not able to guarantee identical beach conditions for future stays, and refunds or relocations will not be available due to these natural changes.
- While we do our best to communicate any known work within Wild Dunes or nearby beach projects, many homes are privately owned and we are not always notified of surrounding activity. As a result, we are unable to guarantee a disruption-free environment or offer relocation for any unforeseen construction.
