2BR, 2.5BA, Jungle views, walk to beach, Pool, AC

The House is great for a couple and kids. A little bit alway from the beach but quiet, private and well located. The Desk Management staff is very professional and courteous. They will help find and reserve restaurants, rentals or whatever you need. It’s the second time we stayed at Howler and we highly recommend. Talk to Francesca, Silvia and their team ???? Pura Vida!

Our multi generational family of 6 enjoyed this two bedroom hilltop home for a week. The pool was heavily used and we enjoyed a plethora of birdwatching from the open concept rooms that felt like we were in a treehouse. The cleanliness was fantastic (& contrary to other reviewers we appreciated the mid week cleaners). There were a few mechanical issues that were resolved quickly by the lovely Vacation Nosara team. Definitely not a toddler friendly home (our infant was safe though!). The queen -queen bunk was fantastic. Kitchen very well appointed. Could use a BBQ/grill and deck umbrella as the patio is in full sun from 10 onwards. Also the location, while well positioned for distant ocean views and lovely breezes, isn't walkable (with our kids and gear at least!). It's a hilly 20 minute walk. Very good location to the Biological Reserve and Lagarta Lodge. We would definitely rent this home again!

Loved staying at the Howler House. We had such a nice time during our stay. Beautiful, new home with lovely furnishings and a well-stocked kitchen. The home’s layout was perfect for our family of 4 including our 13-year-old son, and 11-year-old daughter. The kids spent a ton of time playing in the pool and relaxing in their double queen bunk room. Each bedroom has a nice balcony, where we would read, or just watch nearby monkeys in the jungle canopy! The home is perched on a hill with beautiful jungle and ocean peak views from every room. The large windows and sliding glass doors completely open to the outdoors, which we loved. Can’t believe how much wildlife we saw on the property daily: troops of Howler Monkeys, flocks of parakeets, coati, butterflies, hummingbirds. The home is a short walk to Playa Pelada beach, which had stunning sunsets and nice tide pools to explore at low tide. Lagarta Lodge is up the road, which is a great place to grab breakfast or sunset drinks. We can’t wait to come back to enjoy the Pura Vida we experienced at the Howler House!

We stayed at Howler House during the Spring Break. We’re a small family, couple and a teenager. The house is nice with a small but nice pool, security alarm, garage and a gate. Location is quite far from the beach and up on the hills. A car is recommended if you want to get to places without depending on local taxis the whole trip. Be aware there’s a large construction next door which will create construction noise, scare the wild life and deprive your privacy. The management is nice but they keep a weird schedule of maintenance of the house’s apparatus and the pool. Midweek and Saturdays, people will be coming in the house while there’s guests in the house(????). My suggestion is for management to schedule maintenance before and after guests stay and not while they are there. All in all, the house is beautiful, modern and well equipped. Nosara is a lovely town with beautiful beaches and a variety of restaurants and entertainment for all ages. Enjoy the tico life, Pura Vida!

My husband and two kids age 10 and 12 stayed at this property. Vacation nosara was extremely helpful in getting us tuktuk, information on how to arrange surf lessons, arranging our Covid tests and other services available in nosara. The outdoor shower was great to rinse off the sand after spending time at the beach. The home is absolutely stunning, the pictures don’t do it justice. We even got to see and hear the howler monkeys as they travelled through the trees in backyard. It is a ways from playa pelada and although you can walk , the heat and dirt roads made driving feel safer. I would definitely stay at this property again!
