Stayed Dec 1, 2025The house was clean and ready when I arrived. It’s a bit older house with sounds and smells but it was very cute. The most comfortable bed is in the very back bedroom. I could not find plates so I had to buy some paper plates but that’s pretty minor inconvenience. Location was great for me and my needs during my stay.

Stayed Jul 25, 2025Upon arrival we were pleased with the curb appeal. Nice front yard garden and cute house. The check-in was easy, and the communication was quick and spot on. I have stayed at several Sunny Days properties and this one was my least favorite. The kitchen was fine with everything one would need. The Wi-Fi was great for all 6 of us using it. The neighborhood was ok. The walk to Main Street downtown is about 25 minutes if you choose the dusty path near the mountain at the end of the street. Not bad at all and we saw that others used the path too. This property could use some TLC.I was disappointed in the windows being broken (crack in the glass that is taped) and windows not fully shutting or locking. The bathroom was in good shape except for the bathroom doorhandle. It kept falling off.The backyard is nice, and a few fixups would make it awesome! Like some string lights in the sitting area and a bbq/grill would make it more usable. Perhaps 4 chairs (instead of 2) at the dining table out back. The backyard garden had some pretty plants. It did look a bit tired though and needed a good spruce up. Overall, we had a wonderful time in Ventura!

Stayed Jul 14, 2025This property had everything we needed for our stay and was a short drive to Main Street, the Ventura pier and beach, San Buenaventura State Beach, the mission and the farmers market. Nice parks and botanical garden to take advantage of. The trail behind the house is Loaded with very poisonous plants. So beware if you have a dog with you or a small child. The exterior of the house is very cute, but do not stay here if you have any difficulty walking. The two paths to the front door are uneven rocks. As for the interior, we had plenty of room, but it is somewhat beat up although some new things have been installed. Not easy to open many of the windows, drawers, cabinets. The biggest problem we had was ants in the kitchen. We tried new ant traps, but could never get rid of them. That was indeed unpleasant. The backyard is a really nice large space with comfortable seating and plenty of it. However, a number of the plants are in bad shape, and some of the plants are poisonous to humans and pets. As for the neighborhood, the homes on the street are all cute and probably all about 100 years old. However, when you get to Ventura Avenue, it is rundown and not a pretty place to take a walk.

Stayed Apr 17, 2025A comfortable, peaceful place to stay. Conveniently located to everything. Beds are comfy. Kitchen has everything you need. Backyard is a peaceful sanctuary. We weren’t looking for fancy, only a quiet comfortable, clean, peaceful place to get writing done. ABSOLUTELY perfect. We had no children with us. But if we did, they would have loved this home!

Stayed Jan 20, 2025Overall a pleasant stay for a family of four. Basic accommodations, very responsive management team. Older home that has its charms and also quirks such as the adjoining bedrooms. Delightful garden that is very well kept. Home was quite cold in winter months but management immediately offered space heaters which helped. Location is good:safe, convenient, clearly an up and coming area.

Stayed Aug 21, 2024Cute little no frills home. It was close to where we needed to be and convenient for food places, stores etc. Far enough out that it wasn’t a party area but close enough to everything that we could be there in 5-10 min. The listing advertised a/c but when I got the email for check in it listed that there wasn’t any. They were able to get some mini splits and fans in there so it wasn’t so hot and they changed the listing after that. They backyard space was awesome. This isn’t a new nice home but was cozy and comfortable for what we wanted. Great communication and the house was clean and well stocked with linens and such. Overall a great place at a good price. Not a luxury experience but was still good.

Stayed Jul 8, 2024The property was lovely and the house had such charm. It is older, so you'll have the creaks, etc., that come with an older home but that added to the charm for us. The backyard is beautifully landscaped and I adored the smell of jasmine and lavender. The only off-putting thing was that they charge to rent a pack-n-play and/or high chair. We've stayed in many rental homes and have never been asked to pay for that, so it was surprising. But the house itself is absolutely lovely.

Stayed May 31, 2024The home is a lovely, clean, and cozy place. It is very quiet and beautifully landscaped. We definitely would stay again. The only glitch was the parking was a little tricky. Sharing the driveway with the back bungalow guest and street parking. It worked out, but we made sure we weren't parking the other guest in. Thank you!!
