Waking up in the heart of nature every morning, by the river, preparing delicious family meals, visiting the most popular spots in Quebec City, all without compromising on comfort and the peaceful tranquility of a country house—this is what awaits you at Villa des Pins. With access to the water and a BBQ for outdoor cooking in the summer, you won't be able to imagine living anywhere else! Moreover, you'll be charmed by the style of this century-old house, Villa des Pins!

You willfind all the essentials for cooking at the house, along with bedding and towels, in addition to having access to WIFI, a desk area, and large rooms to gather in and plan the stages of your Quebec journey. Please note that the BBQ is only available during the summer season.

After hosting some city visitors, we would like to point out that being in nature, surrounded by trees and near the river, it is perfectly normal to see flies, mosquitoes, and other common insects. Please keep the doors closed and bring insect repellent to make your stay even more pleasant.
Please also note that the chalet is nearly 120 years old, so it naturally comes with a few quirks ;-)

Just 30 minutes from Old Quebec, you can easily drive to the must-see heritage sites, while being close to the most popular outdoor adventures in Quebec. Ideal for groups of friends, families, or even business retreats, the house is spacious and allows everyone to enjoy either solitude or unforgettable group vacations. By visiting the Vallée Jeunesse site, you can check out all the activities available there!

Villa des Pins is located just a few minutes from the famous Village Vacances Valcartier, the Valcartier military base, the Hôtel de Glace, and many other tourist attractions. This century-old country-style house can comfortably accommodate 16 guests in 12 beds in shared rooms. The living environment is enchanting, nestled in a developed forest, accessible by car, and close to shops and essential services.

BBQs are available only from May 1st to September 30th.
The river is open for swimming and fishing during the summer.

You can contact us via the booking platform’s messaging service for an immediate response between 9:00 AM and 10:00 PM (Eastern Time).

The house is good for a large group with comfortable beds, clean linens and lots of seating. Location on river is pretty and it was a good base for our mountain biking group. It is nestled in the woods and very quiet. We did have some issues worth noting though. The refrigerators were leaky and smelled very bad; we had to clean them both when we arrived. The oven was also not clean on the bottom with baked on food, causing a lot of smoke when we used it and the smoke alarm going off repeatedly. The burners in the grill were deteriorated and therefore cooked unevenly. The WiFi was not working for the first several days of our stay. The host tried to troubleshoot it with us remotely but ended up having to call the internet provider to fix it. While we knew the house is rustic from the description, there were some basic things that could’ve helped if fixed, such as lighting, broken knobs/handles, mirrors falling apart and one not affixed to the bathroom wall, cracked sink, etc. The host was very communicative and did get the cleaning staff to come back and eventually the WiFi issue was also resolved.

Charming Property, Spectacularly Bad HostingSure, the property looks charming. Had the hosting not been a complete train wreck, I wouldn’t be here writing this.We arrived late after a long day of sightseeing, kids crying, everyone exhausted…only to find the GPS useless. Construction everywhere, no signage, pitch black. We circled for an hour trying to find the place. I kept calling the host. No answer. Just unhelpful app texts basically telling me to “figure it out.” Very hands-off way of managing a multi-property compound. We eventually found it, starving, irritated, and no longer in the mood to “soak in the charm.” A simple warning that it’s hard to find at night would’ve saved us the chaos. we would’ve arrived during the day. Crisis management? Nonexistent.Inside, it was a sauna. No AC (we knew that), but windows all shut, and surprise: a fly infestation!! We had to fumigate before even unpacking. And despite what was advertised, one bedroom had no fan. It was an oven. Zero sleep for those unlucky enough to draw that straw. We made the best of it. Because we had to and because we are a positive bunch (despite this rant) But what could’ve been a lovely stay was tanked by the host’s complete lack of support. Even with the fair price, it’s a no for me. Basic hospitality shouldn’t be too much to ask.
