Stayed Jun 24, 2026We had a great stay at this home for our trip to KC. The house is gorgeous and the neighborhood had a safe/welcoming feel. The house is super close to a great park we walked to. The host reached out several times, but everything was great and we didn't need to reply.

Stayed May 7, 2026The house was fine, but by no means impressive and could use a deep cleaning. We were told we could have an early check-in and arrived to the house still being cleaned. Jason was a fairly responsive host.

Stayed Jun 4, 2026The house layout could not have been more perfect for our group! My parents, ages 86 and 82, slept in the master bedroom with an attached bathroom in the main floor, which was perfect so they did not have to walk up stairs (except for 4 stair steps to get into the house). My sister and her husband had a room, my husband and I had a room, my two adult nieces shared a room with 2 twin beds and an alcove area with a couch (so fun!!) my adult daughter had a bedroom and bathroom and a gathering area in the attic/top floor. My daughter’s area was warm and the AC unit could not keep it cool however, she was very comfortable with a fan! (Outdoor temperature was humid and 87-89 degrees). We adored the feel of a historic/old home with creaky stairs and floors, beautiful large windows and a cozy porch. It reminded us all of spending time at my mother’s parents house. Dining area was spacious and plenty of extra chairs to accommodate a large family. The living area with large TV was comfortable and spacious for our group. We are so grateful for our time together in this home!

Stayed May 15, 2026Our group had a nice time and enjoyed the location of the property! However, we did have check-in issues, I was told the code was sent via vrbo but never received anything and I did reach out 2 hours prior to check in asking about how to receive the code and did not get a response until calling multiple times once arriving at the property and not being able to access it, but Jason did help after we arrived. Additionally, the property did not feel very clean, multiple utensils and plates that were in the cabinets were dirty and had old food crumbs on them and we had to rewash multiple items prior to using them. Additionally, we found a dirty used plate in the oven when we went to use it. The house is older which we did now going in, but there were a lot of spider webs and dust throughout the house so I am wondering when the last time the place was thoroughly cleaned was. For paying as much as I did for a 2 night stay, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the house.

Stayed Oct 21, 2025We were 5 mature ladies so used all 5 bedrooms. Each had full length mirrors and plenty hooks for coats, towels, etc. The beds were comfortable - if you like memory foam which we did. The host was very responsive to an initial issue we had, which was resolved quickly. The neighborhood is historic - we were there just before Halloween and many houses on the street were decorated, so thats a good sign of a nice neighborhood IMO. True that 2 blocks away Troost Av is a bit tired, but there are 2 fun quirky coffee shops that one of our group went to daily. The location was perfect for the places we wanted to visit. Don’t miss the Miniature Museum & if you have kids or are a kid at heart - The Rabbit Hole

Stayed Jul 15, 2025This home felt like a home away from home! It had plenty of room for 2 families with kids! There were games and the pre teens loved that they had their own space! It’s updated but they perfectly left the incredible charm! We never felt squished! It’s so conveniently located! 10 mins from most things! We loved our stay!!

Stayed Nov 22, 2023This house was a great meeting point for family from multiple states. The young cousins enjoyed sharing rooms and getting to spend time together. The adults appreciated the dining room for card games and conversation. The house was clean, easy to access, and had all that we needed. It was a short walk to the park and we enjoyed the fire pit in the backyard. The 3rd floor was cold at night but we found a space heater in the closet that warmed it up quickly. Thanks for a great a place to stay!
