Stayed Dec 31, 1969This older home has far too many quirks to be a suitable rental property. First, the greatest concern was the smell and the flies. The smell, we ascertained, was coming through the sewer, along with the flies. The floors are incredibly uneven and are a tripping hazard. The foundation makes the doors difficult to shut and keep shut. You can see broad daylight through a crack in the closet wall in one of the bedrooms. There are three bathrooms but only one shower which was a challenge with so many people. The door to the refrigerator doesn't stay shut well. There is a leak under the kitchen sink. Not the nicest neighborhood or town.

Stayed Oct 13, 2025Comfortable with plenty of sitting and eating area. Teens enjoyed the pool table even though it was not a full size. Lots of kitchen needs available, but would like to have had an air fryer.

Stayed Jun 14, 2025The area is filled with wonderful shops and food. The house was cute, the games available were great entertainment for kids and adults alike. The oak trees in the immediate area made for a gorgeous scenic stay. Two wonderful beaches close by, St. Simons and Jekyll Island. The sea turtle rescues at Jekyll Island was a great visit too.

Stayed Jun 10, 2025When we entered the house, we immediately felt at home. Don't judge the neighborhood or the outside of the house. Very organized inside and roomy. I have stayed at many homes i.e air bnb, virbo, expedia. Vacasa etc but the hospitality said something about the owners. They care about you. Snacks were wonderful.

Stayed Apr 11, 2025The location of this property is not really ideal, the neighborhood tried to be nice but it's a little questionable driving through with a lot of abandoned houses. This house has been worked on, but the whole house is not level. There is 1 shower for the whole house-so 8 people took quite awhile to get ready for the day. The doors stick, the back deck is dangerous-it's made of plywood and sinks when stepped on (we had guests ranging from 70 lbs up to 250 lbs, and we all felt the give of the deck). The house is much smaller than the pictures indicate-2 people in the kitchen is a lot. The furniture was nice, there was lots of sitting room for eating. The game room was a tiny pool/air hockey table combined, which was nice to have but right in the middle of the house. The bunk bed is not put together correctly, and it squeaks whenever someone moves. There are air fresheners everywhere-and for people that don't like smells, this is not the house for you. We unplugged all of them, and then it smelled musty. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen, and it was nice to have a grill in the backyard, just bring a lot of bug spray. The neighbor across the street is super nice, and gives great restaurant recommendations. The house is close to the Sidney Lanier bridge, and has good access to get to St. Simon and Jekkyl Island, and downtown Brunswick is about 5 minutes away.

Stayed Oct 24, 2024Older house but that was no surprise as we could tell that from the photos. The house itself was exactly as expected and fairly close to FLETC, which was the point of the trip. The only shock was the apparently condemned-looking house next door which looked like it had been recently squatted in. However, the day before we left, someone arrived and appeared to be in the beginning stages of a cleanup and possible renovation. The house was very comfortable, and I especially liked the large bathtub in the master bathroom. The only thing I would request is more options for cookware,(larger pots/pans). Also, the K-Cup coffee machine leaked water and was unusable, but we were able to use the “regular” coffee brewer as a backup. I’d recommend this as a place to stay for short visits for FLETC graduation family members.

Stayed Aug 9, 2024We had two families from two different states come in and we all enjoyed our stay very much. The neighborhood was very quiet and the proximity to both Jekyll Island and St. Simon’s was perfect. The house is decorated nicely, the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and dishes for our large group. The house came stocked with coffee, tea, and some snacks and drinks as well as more than enough toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap and laundry detergent. That’s rare with vacations rentals. Our only complaints are that the air conditioning system could only cool the house to about 76 degrees during the day and if you had to go in and out it would get even warmer, very quickly. With the exception of the bunk room, the air-conditioning was more than adequate at night though. Also, there were way too many air fresheners and plug-ins. They were giving many members of our group headaches and flaring allergies/asthma. There were musty smells trying to be concealed but in our opinion the air fresheners made it worse. The pool table/air hockey table is not a full size pool table/air hockey table which we had expected. Nevertheless, it provided many many hours of entertainment in the evenings. It was just too hot during our stay to enjoy the back yard but it is adorable. The host responds quickly when you have questions and gave us the opportunity to return to retrieve a pillow we left behind that we were unaware we had even missed.
