2 Mi to Dtwn: Home in NoDa District Near UNC!

Travelled to CLT for a bachelorette trip. This house worked really well for our group of 9. Loved the neighborhood! Super close to the light rail and Noda (cute restaurants & shopping). Cons:- Wish there were more towels- Some areas of the house need some deep cleaning (stove and shower drains)- I never received a message about check in or check out and had to message the day of to get that info- Physical key for locking the doorAll in all, we would stay here again

This is the review I wish I had read before booking. On the positive side, the location is excellent—super close to everything in NoDa and very convenient for exploring Charlotte. The home itself is spacious and worked well for a group of 8 adults. The neighborhood also felt safe and was easily walkable, which we really appreciated.Unfortunately, there were some major downsides that impacted our stay. The house needs a serious deep clean adn it didn't appear that it had been cleaned at all prior to our stay. We found things like an old dog bone on the floor, noticeable dust throughout the house, and bedding that made us question whether it had been properly cleaned.Additionally, the towel situation was lacking—only a small number of rough bath towels were provided, and there were no hand towels or extras, which made things inconvenient for a larger group.The biggest issue, however, was that the bed sizes were inaccurately listed. The property advertises queen beds, but they are actually full-size (with the exception of the king in the primary bedroom). This is a significant discrepancy, and we would not have booked the home had we known this. The listing should be updated immediately to reflect the correct bed sizes.Overall, while the location and size of the home are great, the cleanliness and accuracy of the listing need serious improvement.

This is a nice house overall and is in a good location in the NoDa district, however there is a lot to be desired regarding the care and cleaning. Toilets were not cleaned. There was dirt on the floor, and there was clutter in cabinets and under beds. Why am I being charged a cleaning fee when there is hardly any cleaning being done? That said, with the proper setup and maintenance, this could be a good rental property.

The property was very clean and was a perfect venue for a family reunion with my siblings.The location was family friendly, and Charlotte is a very charming town!

Beautiful home Great neighborhood

The room layouts, bed rooms and den suited our needs. We dined out; so we did not really use the kitchen. Bath towels were lacking in quality and some smelled sour.

Great location. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Plenty of room. Comfortable beds. Did not know how to get in touch with host.

We stayed at this VRBO in a great neighborhood, which felt safe and was conveniently close to restaurants, shops, and activities. The location was definitely the highlight, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area.However, the interior left much to be desired. The furniture was dated and mismatched, some pieces appear to be patio furniture used indoors. The kitchen table and the chairs were not sturdy, and I nearly lost my entire breakfast when it wobbled. The linens were also outdated and ill fitting; bedsheets did not properly match the mattress sizes which made for an uncomfortable fit. The towels provided were colorful, beach towels, or a mixed of non-uniform sets, rather than standard bath linens.Another issue was with check-in. The listing date of the property had a digital lock which it did, but instead we found the door already unlocked upon arrival and had to retrieve a physical key from a lock box. This was confusing and did not match the description. Overall, while the location is excellent, the property itself would greatly benefit from updated furnishings, consistent linens, and a clearer, more secure, check in process.

The house was great for our party of 7. We loved the kids room and all of the space. No one felt as if they were constantly on top of anyone else. I HAVE to mention the master bathroom though. The shower is amazing. Spacious with two overhead showers and a third with a bench style area. The only issue we had was that we couldn’t figure out how to get the oven to work. We love to cook and eat in so we needed up having to eat out more than anticipated. The house was equipped with all of the necessities like dishes and Kureg coffee maker. Full size fridge. Plenty of seating and an Apple TV for streaming services. The neighborhood was convenient for having things delivered if we didn’t want to leave the house. It was a quiet area with lots of people who walk their dogs during the day. We really enjoyed our stay. Will book with Evolve again.

The house was very nice and accommodated a group of 6 guys easily. It was a short walk to the NoDa restaurant and bar scene as well as the light rail stop. Quite and quant neighborhood. Would stay here again.

I rented this particular home approximately 1 year ago in eager anticipation of my daughter’s wedding. I was so pleased with the look and atmosphere of the rental based on the pictures and looked forward to spending time there both inside and outside the home. When pulling up to the home we were most surprised to see the owner there. He was nervous and seemed to be trying to straighten things up as we entered. He quickly shut the garage door which was filled entirely with many objects including several gasoline cans and could barely close. A fire hazard for sure. The first thing that hit us as we entered the house was the smell it was toxic! We asked if he had painted or used turpentine he said no that the house was just cleaned. It was difficult to breath so we tried to open the windows … no screens! We went out to the back deck it was a disaster. Mold everywhere including embedded in the wood railings. Broken furniture and mold laden couch cushions. Grills were disgusting never cleaned filled with grease old food and ash. Stagnant water in all coolers filled with insects. We questioned the owner about the condition. The inside was unlivable the linens and pillows dirty. We contacted Evolve sent photos and let them know the condition of the house. We couldn’t stay and had to locate another home scrambling within hours of the rehearsal dinner. Upsetting is an understatement.

Things were as advertised.

The house is big, roomie, clean and in a great area. I would have given it 5 stars if the amenities were better. The comforters for the bed were thin throws, the towels for the bathrooms were old beach towels, the Hand towels were non existent, and you could read a news paper through the toilet paper. We rented the house to be close to the race track. The biggest issue I had with the house was it is NOT 5 miles from Charlotte Motor Speedway as it is advertised. It’s 10 miles/25 or so minutes away.

The house itself was lovely, spacious, and a great location. However, the listing says it has THREE queen beds and only ONE was a queen. The other two were full sized which is 10 smaller in width than a queen and was very uncomfortable for our adult guests. We never would have chosen this property if we'd known this. I have photos that clearly show the size discrepancy. Also:* I tried both email and text to the contact on the listing with a few questions prior to our arrival and didn't receive a response from either.* The upstairs fan didn't work* Only one burner on the stove worked* The upstairs bathroom shower didn't drain in spite of trying Drano we found in a cabinet. As a result, our guests had to use downstairs showers.We hoped to find a property we could return to and recommend to friends but, sadly, this one disappointed with all of these issues.

Came to town for a gymnastics meet traveled from frozen Minnesota to frozen North Carolina! The house was perfect for our groups size! Extremely clean and well kept. Our group was here for a gymnastics competition. The neighborhood was very cool. It’s an artsy area and had great food. The house was nice. Technology was dated and the TVs did not work with the remotes. There were also limited blankets. Lots of sheets but one thin blanket per bed and it was cold at night upstairs. It did have well stocked kitchen pots pans and utensils. Towels and soap was not out and available in all the bathrooms. So we had to go on a towel hunt. Nothing we could not find with a little late night digging in the laundry room. Overall we would stay here again.

This property was a great location, however the amenities were not to our standard or anyone's standard. The house had an odd smell and felt like someone was currently living in it. We had to put sheets on ourselves, which would have been okay, but the sheets were all pilled and overused. None of the towels matched and were so thin. The fan in our room did not work. The glasses had lipstick stains. The cabinets / drawers were so cluttered there was no way to see what was even in them to use. The drains in the shower were clogged immediately.. standing in water while showering the first day. None of it prohibited our ability to stay but was not a level of VRBO we prefer. Please keep this in mind when booking.

Fun weekend stay in Charlotte

Great house. Bed sheets were provided on beds but you need to make them. Sheets where miss matched to bed sets and we had to rummage through linen closet to find correct sizes. Shelves were marked but disorganized. No notes in description as to bringing your own bath soaps, coffee and other basic things that you need for a short stay. We’ve used many VRBO’s and never been instructed to start the wash. Wasn’t real comfortable leaving the washer running when we left but I did. Also, there was still a full load of towels in the dryer? I would stay there again but would be way more prepared. Also, we did not have to contact property manager so I can’t honestly answer that ?. They’ll where great about sending info on getting in and leaving.

Loved the “Noda” area we stayed in. Super fun and great restaurants within walking distance. The house was nice and perfect for our needs. Quiet neighborhood, spacious living area, roomy kitchen with ample accessories for cooking breakfast. The beds were a little small as only 1 king bed in master. Would stay there again on return trip!
