2 Mi to Dtwn Colorado Springs: Home w/ Large Yard!

Check-in was after 4pm. I had to reach out around 6pm to request information on how to get into the house. Upon arrival the garage door was broke and would only shut partially leaving about a two foot gap from the ground. Inside the garage was a heaping pile of trash bags. I am assuming from multiple previous VRBO renters. The house had a foul smell because of the large amount of trash in the garage. I messaged the contact that VRBO gave me about the trash and nothing was done the first time I messaged. After 4 nights of staying there, a bear got into the garage and drug trash all over the place and into the surrounding neighborhood. We had to pick up the trash and a neighbor came over and told us she called code enforcement about it. I reached out again to our contact and let her know what happened and someone came by and got the trash. The house was clean but the sheets, blankets, and most of the towels appear to be quite old and thin. The pillows on the bed are also very thin and old. The shower curtain in the master is stained and old. The house just appears like they are only doing the minimum to keep it up and running. The parking is difficult as the house is connected to another VRBO and there is only one entry point for both. The positives about the property is that it is pretty central to all the tourist attractions in the area and it felt like a safe community. The kitchen appears to have been recently updated and everything functions well in there.

Home was beautiful and clean. Very quiet and cute neighborhood. Home owners were very accommodating and friendly. It was a perfect place for our family weekend. We will definitely be back next year if the space is available. Thank you for your hospitality.

2 issues. First, the kitchen sink was improperly mounted and left a large gap exposing the undersink outlet to water splash from the sink - a huge safety issue. Second, the master bedroom bedsheets had not been cleaned prior to our arrival.

Really roomy for the whole family. Would stay here again.

Upon arrival we encountered a freezing home especially the downstairs level, it was in the 20s outside at the time of arrival we had a long travel time from vail due to the weather . Would have been okay but the fact that we had children under 10 made that frustrating. The house was really dirty looked like they hadn’t cleaned it in a while, mold around the sink and toilets, as well as bathroom towels that smelled like mildew. We had to fix the shower curtain that was on the floor in the master bedroom. The house was big enough to accommodate all of us comfortably I just wish it had been cleaned before our arrival.

We stayed here on a family trip and had a great time. The location is good, close to many things but tucked back in a quite and safe feeling neighborhood. The home is large with lots of useable space. The kitchen is lacking a few fundamentals for cooking, and there were absolutely no cleaning supplies. Cleanliness was overall sub-par. My wife spent over two hours cleaning upon our arrival and we had to go buy basic cleaning supplies like sanitizer spray. Otherwise the beds and rooms were comfortable and the check-in process worked as expected (door code). Note the property is shared with another unit. It was occupied while we were there and didn't bother us at all. It was actually helpful when our unit didn't have a can opener, they lent us one. The backyard is in poor shape so don't plan on much outdoor recreation space other than the small deck that may fit 3-4 people. Biggest complaint is how dirty the place was upon arrival, but it was a really good value overall.
