I am a regular business traveler to Montgomery. I am very well versed with the area having left the area for home, Oklahoma, a few years ago. I have stayed at many of the area hotels and am just unimpressed. This property was comfortable, bright, and so much better than a noisy hotel. I sat on the porch and enjoyed the night and it was so quiet and relaxing. Even if I don't get to stay here again, my stay opened my mind as to the possibilities offered by the other lodging options of the area. Only a few criticisms... Greeted by a flat touch screen is what I was trying to get away from... no big deal just not my thing. Gives you the impression that this tablet screen thing that no doubt has a camera is watching you... creepy when staying in an unfamiliar house. The kitchen lights didn't work... so if I were to want to cook it would be by the dim light of the dining room table light. You have to vape outside... people vape so they don't have to go outside to enjoy their whatever... Its fine though, the rocking chairs were perfect... only need some cushions. Bring your own bed pillows if you can.
We enjoyed the house, beds were very comfy and the kitchen was a good size. I didn't realize it was a duplex when I booked and we got some complaints from the neighbors that my toddler and baby were too loud. We thought we were going to be in a single family home when I booked but overall we had a good time.
We arrived late (after midnight) on the night of our check in and had some trouble getting into the house with the smartlock; however, Shaun answered my call and was able to get us access remotely within 5 minutes! The house was clean, and beautiful-renovated, but old timey aesthetics. The fenced in back yard was a nice bonus because we had two pups with us. The house is super close (within 5-15 mins) to several restaurants and shops. Definitely would stay there again!
