Stayed Aug 2, 2025Upon arrival, it was found that the entry code did not work despite being given 4 different codes by customer service. I was finally given the key box code to access a physical key. I was informed by the representative that someone would be there to replace the battery. Approximately 2 days later, I hadn't heard back from customer service, so I contacted customer service because the pad was still not working, the rep said that the company that the pad is linked to has to replace the pad which wouldn't be done until after we check out. The house had a musty order, peeling paint, a broken storm door. There was only one chair (the photos of the house showed two) in the living room and it was broken. The grill in the photo was not the one in the yard. The toilet paper holder in the hall bathroom is coming off the wall and the bottom corner of the wall in that bathroom is crumbling. The door to the master bathroom is off track and wouldn't close completely. We will not be utilizing your property for any future stays. From my perspective, this property cost more than it was worth. Your photos are misleading.

Stayed May 19, 2025This property helped my family and I out of a jam. They were able to get us in the next day after booking and the only problem we encountered with check in was the wrong code was provided. After a quick phone call, they gave me the updated code and was able to gain entry. Thanks to the rep who was able to help out.The house is an older house that has a few problems (which is totally expected) that aren't too bad. Some noticeable water damage in some of the walls but after an extensive inspection, I didn't find any mold. The guest bathroom off the main dining smelled heavily of bleach and mildew but a good spray of Febreze got rid of it. The towels provided were still damp and smelled of mildew as well, but fortunately, that was nothing the provided washer and dryer couldn't remedy. The AC most definitely works. After experiencing some of the worst outside humidity, the icy cold AC was definitely a breath of fresh air and most welcome. Water temperature/pressure was more than acceptable. I just wish the guest bathroom had a fan but opening the door after a shower dissipated the steam nice and quick. Our family had two young children so the pool was one of the deciding factors in booking the house. The pool was clean enough, just some tiny amounts of sediment in the deep end but nothing that kept us from enjoying the pool to the fullest. The fencelines behind the pool area on the property perimeter definitely need to be redone but nothing that caused us any worry.

Stayed Oct 7, 2024Family had to evacuate from hurricane Milton. Our original booking wasn't available due to maintenance, but our host was able to get us into another spot quickly. We were evacuating from hurricane Milton, so it was important for us to find a place we could weather the storm in. The goat was great and very accommodating. weather the storm in

Stayed Sep 30, 2024We enjoyed our stay. The home was very neat and tidy. It felt like an old home away from home. It was the perfect distance from downtown and Alabama State University. The host was very nice and always available when we reached out. The check in process was easy and seamless. I would recommend this property.

Stayed Sep 25, 2024This home is perfect for 6. It was big enough for all of us to have our own space. I agree with the other reviews about the disrepair (one being a major safety issue) and some maintenance issues, and there not being enough kitchen supplies. We had to buy forks since we were so many people. It's nice that we had access to the washing machine and dishwasher, and they did have plenty of linens, toiletries, and fluffly pillows and beds. I wouldn't call it pet friendly due to them saying they would charge a minimum of $50 if there was a lot of pet hair on the floor (on top of the $100 pet cleaning fee), but their vacuum wasnt working properly and they only had a broom and dust pan for cleaning supplies. There was evident pet damage in the downstairs, and you know they charged the fees to fix it but didn't make the repairs. The yard was nice, but the pool had a leak and we couldn't use it. Overall it was a great price and great location for a last minute hurricane evacuation.

Stayed Aug 25, 2024The pool was incredibly dirty. It looked like someone had dumped inches of sand in it. The diving board from the advertisement wasn’t even there but the mounts were along with one of the bumpers that was thrown to the side. Someone had placed 6 bags of yard waste on the neighbors garbage pad before we arrived. The property manager contacted us to say that they had received a complaint about our car blocking the trash pad but in fact the complaint was about the garbage unbeknownst to us. Upon returning to the property the neighbors had tossed the garbage bags into our driveway. I tried to speak to the neighbors and they refused to come out and talk. I called the property manager and they said they were looking into it. I put the garbage back I got the pad because I didn’t know that was the issue then they threw back into the drive later that evening while we were out. Called the property manager again with now resolution again but was informed that the issue wasn’t the car but was the garbage. However, they claimed they didn’t know where it came from but were looking into it. They came back and admitted that it was their issue and said someone would be by to clean up later. I ended up picking up the bags and placing in trash cans so that I could get my car out of the drive the next morning. Sometime that day someone did come by and clean up the rest of the mess. We ended up leaving a day early because we were just tired of being there.

Stayed Aug 23, 2024This house worked perfectly for us. The pool was amazing and it was so close to the stadium. The only issue was there wasn't a door on the main bathroom. We just had to ensure everyone know when the door was closed not to enter. It all worked out perfectly.

Stayed Jun 12, 2024Overall the location was excellent for us as Montgomery was our base of operations as we were scheduled to do civil rights museum visits in Birmingham and Montgomery and we traveled to Selma one day. The kitchen could be more equipped with new cooking utensils, pans, etc. There is no garbage disposal and there wasn't a sink plug for cleaning dishes. There are some general maintenance updates that should be done.
