The house is super cute, great master bed, lots of places to sit in the 3 seasons porch with some heaters for the winter, with a huge comfy couch. Cute kitchen, tv in living room has a Roku stick so you can log into your streaming services.

Loved it there! Perfect for a weekend get away. Many places to sleep, relaxing, and comfortable. The kids thought the shower was amazing. Easy to get ahold of host

This perfectly comfortable 2 bed slept all 6 of my family with space to spare. I really cannot choose just one thing that stood out. Christina provides the ultimate home away from home including everything you would have in your own home. We loved all the outdoor seating areas, beautiful outdoor lighting, extra large three-season room with an abundance of seating and additional dining area, built-in barbecue & firepit! And even though there was a no burn order, Christina provided a way for our family to make S'mores! If this space is available do not hesitate to book it!

Very nice place very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this listing! The only thing I would say is that the listing made it sound like it was the whole rather than a basement It was extremely nice however!

Overall, our stay was OK, but it was not what I was expecting. Shortly before we arrived. I learned that this VRBO is a duplex with the accommodations being mostly underground. A while back we had a bad experience in a duplex so I would never knowingly book a duplex. I don’t think it’s clear in the listing. One of the main photographs shows the front of the home. This could easily be confused as the entrance. This is mainly why I only gave it 3 stars. There’s definitely a musty smell in the porch area and possibly in the house, although I did not notice it as much as my friend. The positives are very conveniently located to downtown and Drake university. The owner had good communication.

This place is especially quaint. Great hosts who provide a very clean getaway. All 5 out of 5s with the lone exception being washer / dryer. It was listed as an amenity but there is not one directly accessible for the guest. Only including here as a heads up. The service seems to exist but only if communicated with hosts. There is not one accessible for the renter themselves is the only coerrection I can provide. Outside of that, everything is as advertised and lives up to the well established stay details and great experience. Thank you for a great stay homeowners!

Property was very clean, nice neighborhood, and we love the outside patio, especially since the weather was perfect to sit outside. We would definitely stay here again.

This house was very clean and family friendly. Very easy to locate. I and my family stay over for 3 days . We travel from cleveland to iowa.

We have stayed at this rental multiple times. The property and apt are well mantained, very clean, and comfortable. The backyard is lovely in the warmer months. It was extremely hot while we were there and the rental was very comfortable the whole time. The bedrooms are cozy but roomy with good beds and the kitchen is well appointed for cooking. There was a coffee station and a complimentary bottle of wine, which was nice.. The neighborhood is quiet and very pleasant to take walks, and the rental is central to anything in DM.The landlord is quick to respond and communicates well.Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO in Des Moines! The air-conditioning was excellent — a huge plus during the summer heat. The patio was our favorite spot to relax in the evenings — peaceful, private, and perfect for unwinding. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we all slept so well every night.The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and we really appreciated the attention to detail — from cookware to utensils, it felt like home. Having coffee provided was a great touch, and the complimentary bottle of wine was such a thoughtful surprise. Every part of the home was clean, cozy, and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Des Moines!

The place was wonderful! The kitchen was stocked with all necessary cooking supplies, the outdoor area was beautiful and peaceful, the beds were fabulous and very comfortable. Loved that that there were rackets and balls to use since the tennis courts were right across the street. Had a delightful time and hope to return.

Clean, well decorated property with great outdoor space and close to Drake University. Comfortable beds, nice bedding, variety of great quality pillows and plenty of space. Functional kitchen with everything you could need. Fantastic outdoor space with plenty of seating, beautiful planters and nice fire pit. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in Des Moines as it was close to everything.

We had a very comfortable stay visiting our college aged daughter. The neighborhood is great for a walk, and tennis courts right across the street. The grocery store was less than 5 minutes away. The beds were very comfortable and even the living room couches were comfortable for afternoon naps for all 4 of us. The area was really quiet. An exceptional stay!

Came to DSM for State Archery. House was clean and cozy, just as described! Host was punctual with any questions we had. Would stay here again and will recommend!

My husband and I grew up and lived in this part of town and our children and friends still live there, so the location was perfect. The space was great and everything was clean and well cared for. The only negative is the driveway-there are planters that prevent you from turning around to exit the property easilyand you have to back out a narrow strip of driveway. I would recommend moving those large planters (at least in the winter) for an easier exit. Other than that, it was great!

Cozy place to stay. Just as listed will visit again

We're VRBO veterans who are accustomed to being slightly disappointed in the reality once we arrive. Not true here - pleasantly surprised! Great clean and cozy space with many thoughtful touches for our 3 adults to share while visiting local family over thanksgiving holiday. Nice big bedrooms with comfy beds, nightstands on both sides, dressers & closets, and some of the softest sheets and blankets I've ever felt! Kitchen with pretty much anything you could want for cooking. Bathroom had nice big rain shower and plenty of fluffy towels. It is a garden level space, with plenty of light coming in, but also private. Comfortable living area furniture, which doesn't always happen in rentals! It was too cold to use the porch or back yard spaces, but the gazebo, firepit and grill look like they'd be lovely during warmer temps. Very pleasant neighborhood close to our family's houses made it a super convenient location. Would have loved walking the neighborhood if we had more time and warmer weather. Christina was great about timely responses to a couple of questions. We'd definitely stay here again!

Absolutely perfect place to stay for a quiet weekend with my SIL. No husbands or kids, just us relaxing! The host was great to work with, answered questions, communicated perfectly, the house was everything it was portrayed to be!

We were very happy with the place. Enjoyed it and our time there.

Solid location in west Des Moines. Not far from downtown. Place is nice and felt great. Owners were easy to work with! Stayed with my two kids (2 and 4) and it went well, no major issues.
