Any guests or visitors who PARK ILLEGALLY OVER THE YELLOW LINE OR IN THE ALLEY even for a few minutes OR HAVE PARTIES OR LOUD GATHERINGS can result in HIGH CITY FINES OF $2000 or more of which signer of the rental agreement will be responsible for.

We got this rental VERY last minute and totally had a blast! It is very close to the beach and conveniently located to other great spots. We brought our own bikes (we have 2 young kids) and we had a BLAST riding up and down the path along the beach! So much to see and do!
This is a great place! The amenities are fantastic! There's beach chairs, boogie boards, kids toys, and bicycles. Inside is everything you need except groceries! The place is very clean, plenty of seating for everyone, and even a private patio area. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room for everyone. The beach is only a block away, and stores and restaurants are nearby. We will definitely come back here again!
My family and I vacationed here at the beach house. The house is very clean, and comfortable. Just a short walk to the sand, not crowed. We had an awesome time. My wife and I took a little time to ourselves on the beach and relaxed on the sand. All our chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, for the beach are provided, that is very nice. Michelle was available for any questions and very helpful. We definately hope to return next year. I would recommend the place all my family and friends.
We love this rental! It was so clean and the location was perfect. We could leave our towels and chairs on the sand and walk back to the house for a snack or whatever! There were lots of restaurant options right across the street and grocery store a minute away. Rollo who checked us in was wonderful and so full of information. Michelle was always available for an questions. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to come back!
Here are the PRO's and the CON's to this property beach rental. PRO's - Super location! right next to the beach (8 or 9 houses away) also just as far the other direction; sushi, great neighborhood bar, cool taco place, Circle K and etc. - Nice property (relative to neighborhood) and well appointed; sharp cutlery set, kitchenware (though old) beach cruisers, skateboard, flat screen TV's and much more! - Rollo was certainly helpful regarding the various nuances of the place (garage door, auto lock) and letting us know about what's around the area. - Clean enough and nice patio's. CON's - I'll start with the worst, since it was the final straw on why we won't rent this property again. SURVEILLANCE CAMERA's on each of the two patio's. There was one on patio (1) and two on patio (2) I had to let my mother-in-law know there was a no smoking on patio rule as I found after we booked the rental. It seemed a bit stringent, but was not a deal breaker. However, when on vacation, I do not wish to feel like I'm on a school yard or prison floor being viewed for infraction. We are adults here and paid the deposit (of which there are several disclaimers for losing on the agreement). Some reading this may understand why an owner would want cameras on the property ( not us). Let me then share this. The owner, also lives four (4) houses down and made sure to stop by and introduce herself to my mother-in-law while she was (in compliance) sitting on the patio. I happened to walk out during this time. The owner introduced herself, but there were no smiles involved. Checking on the property I suspect. - Too many notes around the property to feel comfortable. This is more uncomfortable when you consider the constant reminders of losing your deposit over infractions. Here's a small list of the notes found around the property; Please do not close the closet(master bedroom), Please leave window open when taking a shower, Please do not get make-up on towels. - There is a $50 per hour early check in fee or late fee. If you are late for Rollo, there is also a fee for that. - There are way too many hoops to jump through to mention here. - No dishwasher - Grill had a gas leak. I was afraid to use the other grill on property, as I could lose my deposit for all I imagined (they did allow me to, however when I asked). In summary, this is a great property, but if I had known all of this, I would have rented from some of the many other great properties I found on VRBO
This place was very clean. The kitchen was clean and had mostly what we needed. Might have added a few of the amenities like a blender. We brought our own because it wasn't listed and was not in any of the pictures. But just about everything was available for a four day stay. We cooked most of our meals. The place was as pictured., so no surprises there. However, there were so many rules and warnings, that we were a little wary of using anything or feeling entirely comfortable for fear of not getting our deposit back. We did get it back promptly, however. Rollo was very helpful with getting us in the rental and had lots of info. Also, he got us discounts on whale watching tour. Really appreciated his help. Response time from Rollo and Michelle was very prompt. The one drawback for us, since I am not comfortable riding a bike, was the distance to restaurants and the pier. My husband and I are over 65 and the walk to the pier was rather trying with my bad knees. I just thought things were a little closer from the description. We did have a lovely time, tho, and our girls enjoyed the beach. Thank you, Marguerite
Location was perfect to beach.... walking didtance. Short drive to pier and other activities. Having boogie boards, chairs,umbrellas and sand toys for the beach was a very nice touch. Homeowner always stayed in touch and the on site person - Rollo was a wealth of knowledge and fun to speak with. If we visit Newport Beach again we will most certainly stay at this location.
This house was the perfect size for our family with two patios! It had all of the amenities that we needed and was close to the beach. My favorite part was having those bikes and beach gear available night and day. Although we only live 20 miles away, we felt like we were far, far away. We were able to relax completely with no worries about planes, trains, or buses! Loved the proximity to restaurants and shops. This was the complete vacation package in our own backyard!
We enjoyed our stay. We added days onto a work trip. The kitchen was so nice to have. We bought fresh seafood at Pearson's Port and had delicious meals when we didn't feel like dressing to go out. Rollo met us at the location and answered all our questions. Housekeeping goes above and beyond and everything was clean and neat. The only reason for 4 stars was you can't see the ocean from the location but we knew this going in. Good communication from the owner helped to make sure we had everything we needed.
My family stayed here over labor day weekend and we were more than impressed. Not only is this a prime location but Michelle is so easy to deal with, house was clean and provided all the extras we needed for our stay. Coffee shop and food places are very close walking distance..the pier just a short bike ride away (which was a breeze with the 2 bikes provided) We seriously had the best time and cannot wait to visit again!
