1801 Downing Avenue Lodge Hill

This lovely small home is nestled among trees in a very quiet neighborhood just a few minutes drive from the Cambria town center with its nice selection of high quality restaurants and charm. The sloping lot provides nice privacy when sitting outside either in front or behind. The kitchen had everything you could ever need to cook and the extra TV room was large and comfortable. We used this lovely home as a base for visiting Hearst Castle to the north and the lovely towns of Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo to the south--easy drives. Definitely will come again to take another tour of Hearst Castle and explore the area more!

Very nice home, but might be tight for over 4 people. Stocked well and a lovely neighborhood. Was just fine for the 2 of us. The outside is patios are beautiful.

I have been coming to Cambria since 1947, and I think this is the most peaceful area. The rental was well equipped even headlamp for power outages which the was one. There only 4 stairs to navigate, none in the house. My pup really enjoyed his stay. Weather varied from nice sunshine to rain. Heidi and Cara at Cambria Vacation Rentals treated me like family. Also I have already rented this house for a longer stay in the fall. Again a very peaceful area.

Perfect place for just the two of us!

We were here for a short vacation in Cambria and environs. Check-in was easy (and included a free bottle of wine). The house is immaculate with a great layout and everything needed to cook meals, which we did most mornings and evenings. The neighborhood is quiet and green and close to the Fiscalini Ranch Reserve for nice walks on the ocean bluffs and only a few minutes' drive to the conveniences of town. We had a dog with us and the fenced-in patio surrounding the house made it easy for her to come in and out as she pleased. Very relaxing stay.

We did a bit of cooking and everything we needed was supplied. The cottage was clean and ready for our visit. The entire town of Cambria is so dog friendly we were even able to bring them into the shops. The shop owners spoiled them with treats.We met so many lovely folks both visitors and locals. We enjoyed walks at Fiscalini Ranch , Moonstone Beach, and the elephant seal viewing area.We took a trip down to Morrow Bay and Paso Robles. Didn’t visit many restaurants because we cooked.The guest beds could use an upgrade, but overall a wonderful trip. We will definitely visit again.
