1425 - A Promise Kept, Oceanside Pool Home Close to Outer Banks Attractions.

We had a wonderful stay! The pool and hot tub kept our kids entertained for hours. The walk to the beach was short (2 blocks) and easy/safe with the kids. The house was clean, and the kitchen had all the tools/appliances we needed. You can actually see the ocean from the top balcony! Not every feature has been updated recently but that was ideal for us as a family honestly; with young kids, we don’t need all the new fancy furniture and floors/paint to worry about. The outdoor furniture was perfect and in great shape. Lots of games and children’s books! Also the property to the left is empty, so the house felt surprisingly private. Overall, we had a great experience for the price. We would definitely consider staying again if we end up back in Corolla! Thank you!

We had a great time at this house. Great pool, close to Timbuck II, and relatively close to the beach. My issue with this rental property was the cleanliness of the house and outdoor areas. Our early check-in reservation was cancelled, most likely due to COVID-19 pandemic (understandable), but when we got to the house, we expected it to be immaculate seeing as it was risky to traveling in the first place, and most renters expect to have a clean house when paying a service fee for cleaning services. let alone during a pandemic. The rental property realtors sent e-mails ahead of time ensuring they were following proper sanitation and cleaning processes of rental properties prior to our arrival. All I can say is, they must've been short staffed that day or limited on cleaning supplies. When we arrived there were cigarette butts all over the outdoor area near the pool and on the upper deck, an open sprite can and beer bottle on the back deck, and the kitchen counters and floor were sticky. I was disappointed seeing as this property was not cheap, and the condition and cleanliness of the house was less than satisfactory. I wanted to call and complain and then the empath got the best of me after considering people have been through enough this year, and it was probably more trouble than it was worth. I proceeded to lysol all common surfaces, lysol'ed the kitchen floor and counter and all bathroom countertops. We definitely left the house cleaner than when we arrived.

House worked well for our families. Pool and volleyball court were great for the kids. The top floor living area was great for hanging out. The screen door on top floor slider had a large tear and bugs/flies got into house, bummer. We were probably first renters of the season so kitchen had no staples, like salt/pepper, coffee filters, zip locks or foil. We left some for next renter. The rental listing should be clear that linens are not provided. We did not know and had to scramble to get sheets and towels from rental ofgice. Other houses I looked at specifically said, linens not provided. I did not see that on this rental. We love the Outer Banks and will likely be back again.
