Shady Pines Vacation Rental on waterfront with pier, heated pool and an air conditioned 3/2 large home on 1.3 acres.
The interior of Shady Pines, with her wood look tile flooring is very pet and children friendly and safe from damage claims for you.

Amenities: bed linen & towels, air conditioning, heating, heated swimming pool in a large cage, free wireless internet, pets are welcome, a free cot, baby pack and play and extra linens in a closet. Smoking allowed, but outside only. Included are: 2-4 canoes, 2- 3 kayaks, paddles and vests.

Most of the 1 x 8 mile Lemon Bay is about waist high yet populated with dolphins, many types of fish and manatees! The bottom is firm and except for the trenched in boat channels, you can stand up for safety almost anywhere. Very family friendly. Take a bottled water, wear a life vest and hat and bring your phone in a ziplock for safety.

The home is air conditioned, the pool heated and the cage around the pool makes relaxing outdoors easy. Shady Pines is kayaking/canoeing or walking distance from Cedar Point Park, a huge preserve and natural habitat of Old Florida. Some of the pictures show Cedar Point and the trails, kayak launch and wildlife signs!, one of the last remaining large tracts of reserved undeveloped land as a Park on Lemon Bay in Charlotte County. With 115 acres pine flat-woods covering over 60 % of the park, Cedar Point also has scrub, scrubby flat-woods, mangrove swamps, salt marshes, and wetlands.Cedar Point is also a leisurely 10 minute stroll from Shady Pines. This is a highly fortuitous aspect to our vacation rental.

The several pictures of a family canoeing and kayaking and paddle boating on the estuary are actual guests enjoying our boats. Shady Pines is ideally located hardly 1/4 mile from shopping and services. There is a Publix within walking or biking distance and the Englewood beach is a 2.3 mile drive by land.

Also Stump Pass, where the Lemon Bay opens to the Gulf of Mexico, is a 2 mile trip by water. Manor road is a strip of upgrade waterfront homes fronting Ainger Creek. Shady Pine’s 1.3 acres is a long rectangle with the home well set back off the street and the waterfront is on the other end. We hope to see you soon! David

We do weddings too!! Elopements really, with very small parties. We arrange the ceremony onsite and we have the equipment. A great place for a retreat from the world for 2 to 8 or more. This location can handle a reunion or small/medium wedding or vow renewal

For a mini vacation you can't ask for more. It's a short drive to several beaches and has a pool. To top it off they offer use of there kayaks to use right off the dock!

Liked - Being right on the water with kayaks. Enough room to walk around property. Disappointed in quality of property. Peeling paint, scuff marks, way too much furniture, only local television in one bedroom. Kitchen was overlly fully stocked but bedrooms had old comforters, broken screens and blinds.

The house was set in a very peaceful/quiet area on the street, but nearby various restaurants and grocery stores - very convenient! Everything was clean beyond measure and don't even get me started on the the AMAZING kitchen. Beds were very comfortable and bed linens and towels were plentiful. The host was on top of communication for any questions, which was much appreciated and a refreshing change from my last property rental experience. The pool was spotless and my kids/friends had a great time on the kayaks and rowboat. I'd definitely recommend and stay again!

Great place to stay with the family, the property owner is communicative and caring. Feels like a home not a vacation rental.

The house was in a good location, but due to a storm the night before we had no Internet and no TV for the grandkids, the house still shows signs of hurricane damage and the property could stand to be maintained a little more, at low tide i had a little problem moving my boat to deeper water from the dock, all around it's not a bad place but don't expect first class amenities.

This house has hurricane damage that still needs to be repaired. The bathroom vanity’s both need to be replaced one is coming off the wall and the other one has a huge crack down the center causing the sink to leak all over. Door and baseboards are water logged and in need of new ones. The house was filthy. Floors were dirty. Kitchen was not cleaned.

We enjoyed the large property, being able to have plenty of parking for our cars and boat trailer and to be able to let our 2 small dogs safely walk around off leash outside. The dock was nice and we enjoyed being able to have easy access. The house was spacious and the kitchen had all the necessities. The pool was refreshing and was a nice size. The entire place needed a thorough cleaning, yards and the house. David, the owner was nice to work with. I realize this area has experienced 2 recent devastating hurricanes and this may have contributed to the condition of the property.

We enjoyed the spacious house, heated pool, large backyard, fishing pier, kayaks for use, and close proximity to many beaches, parks and walking paths, pickleball courts, restaurants, breweries, farmers market, shopping. We stayed 4 weeks and had plenty of room for family one week and friends another week. The beds were very comfortable. Thanks!

Thanks to other comments about the shared driveway or else we probably wouldn't have found it. First off it was a decent place to stay like many others have stated it needs updating. However, it is very misleading when it states they have canoes and kayaks to use. The canoes are in very bad shape the kayaks were okay but covered in ants. We could have still used it and washed it out but the ores were awful and not of use. And the lifejackets that were thrown in the mangroves and the few that were there was moldy. We got this place for the sole purpose of using the kayaks and canoes. The tree house entrance is covered by branches and can't even go up. The place is nice but needs a lot of up keep to the outside. We were home and all of a sudden we heard a noise coming from the pool. It would have been nice to know that people were coming to clean the pool. They dumped chemicals in which one shouldn't be in there for a good 6-8hrs after they dump that stuff in. Communication about that would have been nice to have. Bring your own silverware. We had a total of 6 people and only 5 forks. Luckily we live 3hrs away and brought a bunch of stuff with us which was silverware. Now for the sleeping arrangements. Its very confusing. They state it sleeps 8 and one place says 3 bedrooms another says four bedrooms. Well there are technically only 3 bedrooms. The little den area they turned it into these pull out twin beds. They have a divider that you can put up for a little bit of privacy.

Davids description is 100% transparent and accurate. This home is in a perfect location, get the remote feel, but stores, beaches, etc are 5 mins away. Great size and layout. Nothing fancy, yet all the things you could need and no worries of damages. We had the pleasure of meeting him briefly and he was pleasant to speak with and truly cares about his guests experience. The pier for fishing and use of kayaks right on property was our highlight! We will be back for another stay for sure!

We booked this house for my husband‘s birthday during Memorial Day weekend. The house was a little tricky to find at first because it doesn’t have any indicators showing the house number from the road and shares a driveway with the house next to it. Very spacious yard and plenty of parking though! The house had plenty of room with some things needing updating but the backyard had plenty of room for our dog to run around and play in. The pool was a great plus, and the owners were kind enough to purchase plenty of pool floats to use. Thank you! The location of the dock is great as far as the distance to boat ramp and short ride to Lemon Bay was perfect! Just be careful of oyster beds on low tide for those that bring a boat. Thank you so much for letting us stay!
