Great location, great house, great hosts!

Super convenient location and hosts are very responsive. House is beautiful and the game room is really cool with games and an arcade game for entertainment. Neighborhood is very quiet and safe and very close to a grocery store. Overall, great place to stay.

Great location and great property!

We had a great experience. The home is clean and with plenty of amenities. We had two adults and 3 teenage 6’ tall boys. We were there for baseball and the house was perfect for our needs. Cold air, clean sheets and enough room for family style dinner every night.

We were in town for a siblings reunion. This home is a charming historical bungalow very comfortably furnished with everything you need to feel at home. We had no problems parking on the quiet street and the location worked well for our activities. Our hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. Enjoyed the stay very much.

We had a very enjoyable stay here! The home was perfect for our family. Highlights were the movie/game room - we were thrilled to find a large selection of board games and my kids loved the popcorn for movie night - the hot tub which we enjoyed every night, the bed in the master bedroom was super comfortable, the porch swing was a great place to relax, the neighborhood was cozy, and the grocery store, Walgreens and restaurants are a short drive away. No issues with finding parking right in front of the house. It was also nice that check out procedures were easy - just putting towels in the wash and running the dishwasher - we weren’t given a long list of chores like some other places require. Definitely recommend this lovely place!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ellison House. The location is great for going to Pepper place and easy to get to great restaurants. An easy walk to Piggly Wiggly. The home is well maintained with lots of extras to make for a relaxing fun weekend. We appreciated the homey touches like extra blankets, garbage bags, K cups, games and a really cute Pac-Man game table. The hosts were great at communicating with us throughout the weekend. Would definitely stay again!

We were in town for UABs graduation with two 2 year olds and a 6 year old. The house had lots of games (and PAC man) to keep them entertained along with a long hallway to push their cars down. Both front and back porch offered additional hang out spaces when the kids became restless. Hi wire brewing, Jenni’s Ice Cream, and other food options were nearby as well, all kid friendly. The parking was tight with 2 SUVs but additional street parking wasn’t far away. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were very responsive and we had zero issues.

A wonderful historic property in a very quiet neighborhood (Avondale) in Birmingham so close to so many attractions and eateries. Check-in was effortless, as well as check-out. Great on street parking. We had a very good time on our visit to Birmingham and this VRBO rental was the icing on the cake ?
