While we love the location and space, the house is in need of serious TLC. There are several bathrooms but only 1 shower, besides the outdoor shower. Many windows had rotted through so badly that they would not stay open or were literally crumbling into pieces. Many drawers and doors would not open or were quite tough to open. The house gets very warm and there is no AC, making the 3rd floor essentially unusable, and several of the bedrooms nearly unbearable. The yard is great, but the sprinklers continually go on throughout the day and night, making it difficult to play any games in the yard. Its a crumbling gem full of potential, but as it stands right now, it is just not worth the price.

We just returned from our week in Oak Bluffs. The house was spacious enough for our large family and had a wonderful large porch where we started and ended all of our days. The pool table was a treat and the large outside table was perfect for our outside meals. The private hot/cold outside shower was a treat when returning from our beach days. The location of the house is great, no car needed as you can walk to the town and beach with ease. The loft room was great for the kids, they had their own full bath as well as ocean and park views on either side. We are ready to rent again next year!

This house was perfect! Spacious, airy, couldn't find a better location. We spent our time at the beach a few steps away, reading on one of the porches, eating, and totally relaxing! House is spotless, beautifully appointed, comfortable but not shabby. Great newly renovated kitchen, though we cooked on the outside grill often. We left the kids and grandkids at home this time - yay! - but the house is so comfortable and large - and town, beach, Flying Horses carousel, etc are minutes away - that we plan to bring them next year. Maybe.

This is our fourth stay at this beautiful home! The rooms are large, welcoming and clean. Every room has an ocean view. There is a caretaker on premises and the owner called to make sure everything was alright. The beach is directly across the street and downtown Oak Bluffs is 5 minutes away and Ocean Park right out the front door. You really don't need a car (we parked ours and used it once). This is a home to make great vacation memories!

We truly had everything we needed at this rental. The location is superb because it is convenient to everything, The home is very clean, with a new gas grill, private outdoor shower and a porch for every wind direction! The yard and gardens are lovely and well kept. With three off-street parking spaces, you never have to stress about the car if you do have one. However, you could easily rent this house without bringing a car since the grocery/liquor stores are nearby. We are anxious to return again this year (already booked!) and look forward to renting it for years to come. When Carly popped up on the porch (June, 2008) to join us for a glass of wine, these sorority sisters just knew THIS was the house for them! Nobody does it better!

I've rented other houses on Martha's Vineyard, and this one surpassed both the description and our expectations. Perfectly located across the street from the Oak Bluffs town beach and a 5 minute walk from town and the ferry terminal - we rarely used our car the week we were there. Rooms are large, ceilings high, house is full of light, although we spent most of our times on one of the 3 porches. Great renovated kitchen, fantastic porch with grill where we cooked out and ate at the long table outside most nights. Glass enclosed porch overlooking the water and park is fabulous! The big living room, den and pool room provided hours of relaxation and fun for the 2 families that vacationed there together. We are returning this year!
