Location! Location! Location!
Charming, and nestled away, this must see post and beam home is situated on the edge of the Keith Farm, which provides multiple sweeping pastoral views and occasional visits by the beautiful horses who graze on the neighbor's property. We have been asked to enjoy their beauty but not to feed them.
Both the isolated beauty of this secluded one acre property and the convenience of this amazing central location, are what make it so special.
This home is beautiful yet not fussy, furnished with both elegance and comfort in mind, with well thought out amenities, including but not limited to a wonderful new kitchen completed in 2022. This fully equipped Cooks kitchen includes a large table that seats 8-10. The deck is appointed with teak furnishings , a large direct line gas grill and wonderful views of the beautiful Vineyard sunsets. Along with the kitchen a new full house A/C systems been installed. Our guests rave about the large outdoor shower. Inside the main house is an open concept living room with cathedral ceilings and the loft area above has a T. V. which is great for hanging out but also can be used as an extra space for house guests on the pull out futon.
4 Bedrooms (each with their own bathrooms) are furnished with plush mattresses and bedding (3 bedrooms are in the main house, the 4th is in the detached cottage) Detached cottage provides an additional bedroom and 500 sq ft of guest space.
With a screen door and AC unit, you have your choice of enjoying the cool breeze with the screen doors open or to cool off in the AC. Most past guests say this is the prime bedroom!

AND THERE'S MORE..........

2 minute drive or 10 minute walk to the famed Lucy Vincent Beach; 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk to the Center of Chilmark, the library and the Chilmark Community Center, where you can access a bus during the summer season multiple times a day, to any town on the island; Chilmark is the home to the picturesque working village of Menemsha, which is famous for fresh catch seafood and spectacular sunsets; If you enjoy walking trails, Chilmark has the most of any town on the island; A 10 minute drive out of town will bring you to the famed red clay cliffs with beach below to the town of Aquinnah, formerly known as Gayhead.

We spent one magical week here and didn’t want to leave. The setting was beautiful. The porch and grill area were perfect. And the beach was stupendous. Check in could not be easier. Great stay and great hosts. Thank you so much!

The peaceful, pastoral setting of this house was perfect for our little family. We were two adult couples, mom and dad and daughter and son-in-law. There was plenty of space for at least four more, but it did give us plenty of room to spread out when we wanted to. All rooms are well-appointed and well-stocked. The kitchen area was amazing. Lots of space, great equipment, and a great wrap-around deck with a gas grill that works very well! The outdoor shower was my personal favorite spot. Plenty of hot water and a gorgeous tree-covered setting. There is a separate guest house if anyone in the group needs more privacy. We didn’t really use it except for some business calls and zooms that the rest of the group didn’t have to hear. Owners were very responsive to questions. We will definitely consider this spot when returning to the Vineyard. It’s a bit of a drive to Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven and Edgartown, but we liked being away from the crowds. If you have a vehicle, it’s a wonderful getaway. A short walk to Lucy Vincent Beach and the Xhilmark General Store and Tavern. Absolutely loved it!

Location and house, especially the new kitchen addition that everyone hung out in, are just so comfortable and pleasant to spend time at.

Located between Lucy Vincent Beach and the Chilmark Community Center, the house provided easy access to our favorite spots on the Vineyard. It's a beautiful property and the owners are easy to reach with any questions.

Once again, Megan has been an awesome host and her house is just so gorgeous. This time we used the grill for almost every dinner at home, and it was very fun and delicious. Seafood from the island purveyors, including ample grilled oysters, and vegetables from the farm markets. Every day we took walks on beaches and paths to explore, including the nearby Fulling Mill Brook which was so interesting! The host immediately took care of any requests we had and took our calls and made any changes necessary. This was a great stay and we cannot recommend this house, and Megan, enough!

Megan and Phil's place is a great winter get-away with 2 gas fireplaces - one in the kitchen area and one in the living room, both where you spend most of the time not in bed! These are high- end fireplaces, more like wood stoves with visible flames - very charming, and very warm and cozy! Then venture outside for a walk on one of the Vineyards best beaches, or find trails in the Menemsha Hills and finish off with the most amazing lobster bisque at Menemsha Fish Market. Take home some fish for dinner! Don’t forget the Scottish Bakery in the next town up! Our second time this season there, hope to return!
