Enter the cottage and step intothe open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with natural light pouring through the French doors leading to the patio. Relax on the sofa bed sitting opposite the Smart TV in the contemporary lounge area. At the back of the room is a farmhouse-style L-shaped kitchen with elegant, stylish cabinets. Completing the interior is a boutique-style king-size bedroom and a minimalist, marble-effect bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed patio with furniture and shrubbery. There is also private parking for one car.

While staying in the heart of Abergavenny town you can pop to the local shops and pubs or visit the museum in a former hunting lodge on the grounds of a ruined Norman fortress (all within 1 mile). Just 3.5 miles away is Sugar Loaf – after an uphill slog, you’ll reach impressive views of the surrounding landscapes. Visit the curious historical landmark, Clydach Gorge (6 miles) and disappear into the depths of Ogof Craig a Ffynnon cave (7 miles). Head into the Black Mountains for a hike up to the summit of Waun Fach (13 miles).
