Stayed Jul 26, 2025After a long day of travel, my wife and I were looking forward to spending some time in the woods, under the stars. However, the entire bus was filthy,(except for the sheets) the place smelled awful...smoky, musty and like the whole barn had lived in it at some point. It was muggy and quite honestly, kinda seemed like a place you might come away with bedbugs or maybe even lice...nothing was mowed or weed whacked, the hammock was moldy and there was dirty dishes sitting on the table outside around the fire pit which was essentially a rusty round dirt hole, with two dirty wet chairs around it. There is a water hydrant there, but no showers. We ended up leaving, and drove the rest of the trip home that night. Very disappointed!

Stayed Jul 27, 2023My 8yr old son and I were in town for one night and needed a place to stay. Found the Blank Slate bus and jumped on it, AFTER reading all of the details. We could not have had more fun! Everything was tidy and clean. Having most of our camping supplies, we were over prepared. Once we got settled in for the night, it was all we needed. Waking up in a forest but only a few miles from civilization was a plus.Could not recommend more! It was lovely.

Stayed May 11, 2023The property is in a great location. Stores are closed by and the lake is not too far. This is a real glamping experience that could have been better. The hot water heater for the shower was not hooked up and there is no stove provided. No big deal since we were there for a couple of nights only and there's a charcoal grill and a fire pit that you can cook on. Had I been traveling with my camping gear the experience would have been really great. Also the weeds are very thick to get back to the shower area and water spigot. I cleared a path to make it easier to get back and forth. Also if you plan on using the shower know that it's very open. There are trees and such surrounding the area, but it's not 100% private. The bed is not very comfortable. It's very firm. Overall though we had a good stay and enjoyed the vibe of the bus. The host is very responsive and super friendly. I would definitely consider staying again if in the area, but I would come better prepared.

Stayed Oct 14, 2022The property manager kindly stayed on the phone until we found the property, very sweet. We felt adventurous booking a skoolie to glamp in for the weekend , but the listing & photos set our expectations too high. If you’re hoping for a comfortable night under the stars, this may be too rustic for you - smelly porta John (no soap or sanitizer), shower head on a garden hose, and a stiff mattress (sheets were clean). Truly felt like we pulled into a wooded ditch & climbed into an abandoned, heavily graffitied bus (definitely not as pictured in the listing). It could have been so charming. Slightly better than a tent. But if you hope for more creature comforts, keep looking. Seems like a cool concept that that’s lost its way. It should be rephotographed in its current state to properly manage expectations.

Stayed Sep 9, 2022The Blank Slate Bus#23 is a great spot. The Bluebird bus with its artistic charm is really fun. The campfire area and hammock were great. The owner is super friendly, and very responsive. I look forward to staying again, when I am in the area.

Stayed Nov 26, 2021First time in a bus. No problem finding the place. Starting the heater was easy, and we were warm on a 25 degree night. The only thing that didn’t work was the water. We needed it only in the morning for rinsing the 2 mugs we used the previous evening for wine. No big deal at all. Would definitely stay in Bus 23, again!
