Imagine waking up right next to a national park, stepping onto the deck with a warm cup of coffee in hand, and taking a moment to reflect before setting off on a trail for adventure. Later, we could explore Mentone, maybe stop for a leisurely lunch, then hike to waterfalls or dip into a secluded swimming hole. If we're in the mood, browsing through antique shops could be a fun way to spend the afternoon. As the day winds down, we’d return to our cozy spot for dinner, then sit out on thedeck, soaking in the peaceful night sounds of a five-frog pond.
Now that’s what I call a getaway—far from the routine, full of fresh air and discovery. Let’s make it happen! Bienvenue to this enchanting French country flat, where every corner feels like a page torn from a storybook in Provence. Washed in soft hues of cornflower and sky, the space is dressed with toile fabrics, distressed wood accents, and just a hint of lavender in the air. Vintage-inspired chandeliers cast a warm glow over antique finishes, while linen drapes flutter gently like they’ve known the rhythm of the breeze forever.

It’s a non-smoking, pet-free retreat designed for two, perfect for mornings spent with coffee and croissants at the farmhouse table, and evenings beneath a knit throw listening to the hum of cicadas—real or imagined. And if you listen closely, you might just hear the clink of a café glass or the distant melody of a Parisian waltz.

Slip off your shoes, breathe in the calm, and stay awhile. After all, joie de vivre lives here.

Loved the property. Stayed in the France room. The attention to detail was great. Location for hiking was close by. Communication and directions were very good. Had a memorable weekend. Will come back.

It is the most relaxing places to stay. Definitely away from the everyday hustle and bustle.

We had an awesome time. The property was just as described and the appointments were great. If you’re looking for a place in the country, but close enough to Mentone and Desoto State Park, this is the place. We will definitely be back!

Ms. Bobbie and Mr. Ray couldn't have been a better property owner. They were there for anything that might have came about. The conversations out on thr deck was absolutely wonderful. Now the flat was obviously custom designed by Ms. Bobbie. Every little thing had an awesome story behind how it was acquired. We talked about the wonderful flat to Jesus and the Bible. We will definitely stay again. Thank you again Bobbie and Ray!! Angela

Very difficult to navigate. Need more signs. It’s a work in progress… pricy considering how small it is and outside is still under construction

The attention to detail on the interior was spectacular. I’ve never felt more comfortable anywhere other than home. The Bed, furniture, bathroom fixtures are a true treat. We had everything we needed to cook our own meals and the distance from popular restaurants such as the wildflower cafe and the state park make its location perfect to enjoy everything in the area. Our host was very professional and treated us like wanted guests the entire stay.
