Pines Lodge at Sand Run Lake in WNF, Hocking Hills

Nice cabin.

The temperature in the house got up to 78 degrees on our second night and when we tried to use the air conditioning, it was not working. While the hot tub water was fresh, there were no chemicals in the water. There was a cockroach on the kitchen floor on our first morning, along with mouse poop in one of the kitchen drawers. There were ants (most likely carpenter ants) in multiple parts of the house. The rails on top of all the bunk beds kept falling off. There were not window dressings on many of the upstairs bedroom windows. The kitchen sink pipe was leaking. The wood on the deck was hazardous. While we enjoyed our time in Hocking Hills, and we did enjoy the fire pit and outside part of the property, we were disappointed in the house and the money we paid for it.

Spacious cabin, private setting, minor issue with AC but was addressed. Overall a value for the space and location.

The email didn’t tell us where to get the key. The signage was non existent. There was a large old cobweb on the ceiling, and in the deer head, thick dust on the TV stand. The hot tub was very good. Mmm

Kitchen well equipped, pool table fun, beds not good, bunks too close to ceiling for teens, wall patches incomplete, balconies and decks uncleaned and ill repair. Lots of basic maintenance needed. Enough towels but extremely worn. We still had fun but it was not up to the usual level we expect on VRBO.

Inside was clean for what the cleaners had to work with. It needs a fresh paint job on the inside and especially on the outside!!!! Game room in basement had a damp feeling. The one bed squeaked so bad every time you moved it was impossible to sleep in. Hot tub was fixed on Thur afternoon when we were leaving on Fri.so didn't get much use by the time it warmed up to 100. Weather didn't allow us to use pool. Overall not impressed and felt the owners have no pride in the property, I wont go back.

House was in disrepair, shower didnt work upon arival, house was not ready at check in time. Furniture was broken , some unusable, broken doors and cabinet doors. Outside play set for children didnt exist. Swing that was there was broken. Communication with rental service was very unsatisfying. Pool was good.

It's a very nice place to stay with a family and the dog enjoyed it a lot would come back

Hot tub barely worked, no game room or swingset as advertised. The area was very peaceful but could use better outdoor maintenance.

Nice property with lots of space. Many TV channel options to choose from…. Nice Hot tub…a great getaway!

Low-key bachelorette party with my dog! Fun place to stay for a short trip away for the weekend.

Very nice property and very clean everything was amazing the entire family was happy with the stay specially the kids they had a lot of fun playing in snowboarding. Thank you again

I emailed several times and called just to receive 1 email back from 1st Choice Property Management. We stayed from Sunday to Friday and I received the email on Tuesday with no further communication from them. We had some problems with the House 1. Leak in refrigerator (looked at couldn’t fix) 2. Bathroom upstairs no hot water (they did fix this) 3. Bedroom downstairs couldn’t use lights something wrong with switch could be a potential fire hazard. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. They do need to update some appliances. The location was great close to the caves and other activities in the area.
