Wonderfully kept up fisherman’s lodge. Great fishing for our modest boat. The property as a whole is so interesting and vast. If you are looking to unplug and stay in a more rustic but well kept accommodations—this is perfect for a family. It’s also close to Detroit Lakes and Perham for shopping and restaurants.
Our whole family enjoyed our time at the lake.
This property provided a reunion of HS friends & their spouses the perfect opportunity to enjoy each others company & catch up on life. The grounds are spectacular and very private & the house was large enough to accommodate 5 couples (and children, if need be) quite comfortably. A stunning estate kept pristinely in 1947 fashion, was a delight to stay at such a beautifully maintained historic home.
Had a family reunion at this lovely home. 5 bedrooms meant everyone had a bed. The lovely interior spaces allowed our group to spread out and enjoy different focuses in differ areas. The weather didn’t allow much swimming but we enjoyed the little beach with pretty pebblesand the water clear and nice.
Fantastic property on amazing grounds.
Great place to go to and have fun with family and friends!!!
We had a family get together and needed a big place. This place was perfect for our needs! Very clean and an amazing location.
This was our families 2nd year returning to the lodge. It’s the perfect space for a larger family with beautiful grounds, unique character and situated on a quaint lake. The lodge is picturesque and has lots of space inside and out. Would definitely recommend.
Our family of 11 had vacationed for a number of years at a family resort. The resort closed and we were left without a vacation site for this summer. As it turned out, we ended up with this absolutely fabulous rental on a beautiful property and lake. It was easy to communicate with the owner and she was very responsive. Our grandkids love to fish and had the best ever fishing (their words). There was plenty of bright, clean space in the house for all of us to gather together and if someone wanted time alone that space was available as well. We booked for 2023 before we left.
The historic lodge was the perfect place for our quick family weekend. The property was everything as advertised.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Aerie Lodge. It was the perfect up north get away! Beautiful views, spacious lodge, relaxing atmosphere, gorgeous grounds, and pristine lake made for the perfect vacation. Laurel was such a gracious host, very helpful as we planned this trip and prompt at answering any questions. Gene, the caretaker, was a gem, and takes wonderful care of the beautiful property. We spent four nights at the Aerie with eight adults and two kids over the Fourth of July, and it was a great space for a multigenerational getaway (grandparents, siblings, and kids). Perfect to spread out but also plenty of room for us all to be together to celebrate a special sixtieth birthday and Independence Day. We loved swimming off the dock and the water was clean and shallow for the kids to swim. The kitchen was great for cooking group meals, with a big long table where we could all eat together. The lodge itself is built of beautiful wood, with amazing views of the lake, and the grounds are amazing! So expansive with hiking trails and lots of space to run and play games. Overall an amazing property, where you and your loved ones can create lifelong memories. We can’t wait to come back!
Wonderful home and great piece of lake front property. Very cool old cabin. Amazing sunsets over the lake to enjoy on the deck. Plenty of room for a big family! Nice sand beach and good size dock. Huge yard for all the kids to run around. I would definitely return and recommend this property.
