It’s a haul getting up to the property but very worth it! We enjoyed the home so much and our kids (age 11 months to 8 years old) had the best time running around and playing. We really appreciated the baby gate! The bunk bed room was the kids favorite. The house is WELL stocked - the kitchen has everything you need and more, and there are plenty of towels. Also, having so many bathrooms was so nice. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would go back! Glen Falls is only 25 minutes away, and worth the drive/hike!

Beautiful, clean cabin, great communication with host, close to Highlands with great shops and restaurants. Convenient to hiking trails and waterfalls in the area. The road back to the house is very narrow with some rough spots, so take your time! Disregard the signs that say “turn around “ and “not welcome.” We felt very welcome, and will definitely consider coming back in the future.

Ran into some issues with the ditch being fixed right outside of the access driveway, which confused us and required a lot of discussion to determine what was going on and whether we were able to use the road. They were incredibly kind about it, and they answered pretty quickly after we asked, but we do wish it had been communicated either to us or the owners so they could tell us prior to the construction. We also had some internet connection issues, but it seemed to be an issue with the cable’s beyond the house rather than the house itself. Just make sure to prepare to have no wifi- which we were all pretty good with since there was so much to do in the area. Only issue with no wifi was trying to communicate with each other and the owners and having issues navigating the area, even with the offline maps we downloaded. The owners themselves were pretty communicative at all times of day about things we inquired about. Be sure to follow their advice regarding the area- which they provide in lots of detail before your stay! Beautiful view, gorgeous & unique decor, lots of space to have a big group of adults for a cabin in the woods hiking trip. Lots of butterflies, hummingbirds, and bats so keep your eye out if you like fauna. There was rustling in the woods too so you may be able to see some bigger fauna if you’re able to see farther out than us. We were also told to pick some blueberries- and they were delicious! Elevated our breakfasts while we were there :)

The cabin was excellent. Matches the pictures if not better. Cabin is in very good shape with lots of extras including those blueberry bushes which the entire group enjoyed.Road into area is windy and gravel for quite a stretch but a Toyota Camry had no issues.Do understand that cell phone coverage isn't just spotty at the cabin but starts 15-20 minutes out but honestly isn't an issue once you get wifi on-site. Wifi was weak at times but once again not a showstopper.

The property and home are beautiful. The road leading up threw us off due to the “vrbo not welcome” signs posted along the way.

This home is situated on a beautiful, remote property. The views are outstanding. The layout is great and accommodated our large family group very well. It was not the cleanest property we have stayed at, and the wifi is not very reliable, so keep that in mind if you are planning to work or need internet. We had no issues with the neighbors. We loved seeing the farm animals across the street daily.

We had a wonderful experience at the Jewel in the Woods! The gps navigated us directly to the place! The views were phenomenal and the house was impressive! The beds were comfortable and each room had its own bathroom! The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and all the things you would have at home at more. We enjoyed every bit of the home and only wished we had more time off from work to stay longer! The people are so friendly and Renata was wonderful and communicated very well! I highly recommend!

Well pleased with overall condition of property. House is very spacious and has an excellent open floorplan to promote group gathering on main floor, yet provides privacy for individuals/couples on the second and lower floors. If life in the country is what you want, the Jewel of the Woods will not disappoint.

This cabin was beautiful. The views were amazing! The cabin was super clean and very well stocked. One of the best rental properties we've stayed at in a long time. Lots of room for families. The host and property manager were so great. Very quick to respond. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay and loved the amazing views! The house is incredibly well stocked, the best I’ve been too as far as having every little thing you could think of. We had so much fun picking blueberries! We made blueberry pancakes each morning and blueberry cobbler for dessert! We drove to Secret Falls and did the apx 2 mile hike with a beautiful waterfall at the end you can swim to. Overall it was a wonderful stay! Renata is very thorough, kind and responsive!
