Super frustrated with this VRBO!! Not because we didn't like what we saw but because we never got the chance to stay. Our families were driving hours, anywhere from 100 to 400 miles to get there that evening, and when we got there, another party showed up. The host, Mark, gave the VRBO to them because he said they booked before we did. He said it was human error (I get that this happens) but that they must have forgotten to mark those dates off the calendar after the first party committed. How do you not know when you have been paid twice for a weekend VRBO???? He did offer a friends VRBO but it was a motel style that was not fully available (couldn't access kitchen we needed) and it was not 'ready to go' for us at that point anyway and we would have to wait. We spent the next 2-1/2 hours on the side of the road calling anyone we could for recommendations. Can you guess who saved the day?? The Roseland family from Seneca, SD. They own and operated R & R Pheasant Hunting and their lodge was literally perfect for us and our 30 crew family. Thank you Roseland's for saving us and making our Christmas with family actually happen! We highly recommend them and the facility is incredibly spacious, 2 large buildings, 2 large great-room areas to gather, nice functioning kitchen and the grounds it sits on are beautiful! And it was spit-shined! So clean and comfortable. I would check them out if you have 40 or less people to gather. Every room has its own bath! Check them out!

To start, I feel like the house was setup great for hunting parties. Not being a hunting party, not as good. We did not know that there was a dog kennel right next door, so barking dogs all day and night. Kitchen was small for doing meals for large group. Cleanliness inside house was ok, but windows could use a good cleaning. Could not hardly see out them. Outside of house could use a good power washing. Now for the positives. The game room was a good place for everyone to visit and have fun. The bedrooms were comfortable.

We stayed for a cousins reunion & had such a great time! There was so much to do that no one got bored, We had pool & corn hole tournaments. The beds are comfy & there was enough space for many more than our group of 15.

We came to South Dakota for our daughter’s wedding. As there were 15 of us, we wanted someplace we could hang out and have fun. Hotel rooms just don’t offer that. The lodge at Broken Arrow Farm was the ideal space. It is an amazing property. We loved it!!!

We had a group of 16 adults and 7 kids under the age of 5 staying. The house isn’t 100% kid friendly but we were able to improvise. We had a few minor issues but Mark was always super responsive to any texts I sent. The backyard and fire pit were big hits! It is listed correctly so we knew this going in, but I wish there was one bathtub in the house for ease of bathing little ones but it wasn’t a deal breaker for us! The house is huge and we loved that everyone basically had their own private bathroom. Overall it was a great stay! There is a prior review for dogs barking and yes that is true. We never noticed them if we were playing in the yard or at night so it wasn’t an issue for us.

We needed a location large enough to accommodate up to 30 family members. We were celebrating our Parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. The lodge was perfect, we had plenty of space for all of us to hang out or have some quiet time if needed. The rooms were all great and more spacious than I would have thought from the booking. Mark was there anytime I needed an answer. Thank you Mark we appreciate the use of the beautiful lodge.

Beautiful Lodge and location if you love dog's (15-20) of them, and don’t mind them barking 24/7 on the property keeping you awake all night, then I would probably rate it excellent. It posts “dog friendly “, which is cool but I missed the fact for 750.00/night I would located on a property with dog kennels in the yard. If quiet and privacy.
