Stayed May 25, 2025This place has potential to meet the standard. I enjoyed my stay, BUT, the place needs to be cleaned a lot better. The refrigerator, stove and oven were not well maintained or cleaned properly. The bathroom has a cleaning brush stand that is horrible. The Marlin states it can sleep 12. However there is not enough room for seating or eating if using the table and the living room furniture together. There were only 7 in my group. The furniture was stained and needs to be cleaned or replaced. The bedrooms have two bunkbeds per room. But there is no way 4 people can fit in the rooms at all. We had to put 3 in one room and it was impossible for them to have their belongings in the room also. At the most, this place can sleep 6. Each room has a window AC unit. In one room, the AC leaked into the room. This causes a humidity issue inside The Marlin. The Marlin also needs a cleaning station and ice machine. I only say all this in hopes the owners know that the cleaning crew is not doing a good job at all. Right now after staying there, I will not be staying there again unless changes were definitely made.

Stayed May 1, 2025My husband and our son recently stayed at this boathouse with three other dads and their sons!It was the perfect spot for a fishing experience in Venice ... they had a great time.And communication with the owner was easy and friendly!
