I rarely leave reviews for stays but this one was so outstanding that it warrants one. The place is adorable and perfectly decorated, the beds/pillows were extremely comfortable, the views are amazing, and the location is beyond unique. Truly cannot recommend highly enough. There is a walk from the parking space to the unit which wasn’t an issue for us but might be for some, particularly if you bring a lot of stuff. Also, I stayed here with teens but am not sure that I would have loved it as much with little ones because not all of the walkways around the water are fenced. But for us, this was truly a perfect stay and I would 100% stay here again.
Everything was great would definitely return . My only complaint was the TV . Trying to watch the news or a sporting event was horrendous. Terrible TV's . Other than that I loved the place.
Our stay at Luxe at The Cove - Luxury Houseboat was truly exceptional. The novelty of being accommodated on a houseboat added an extra layer of uniqueness to the experience. Nestled in Wilmington along the river, the surroundings were simply breathtaking, enhancing the overall beauty of our stay. The houseboat itself surpassed expectations, exuding its own charm and elegance. Every detail was meticulously crafted, making it a delightful retreat. Without a doubt, we are already planning our return visit to relish in the captivating atmosphere and undeniable allure of Luxe at The Cove.
We had an amazing stay loved loved the house boat! We are going to continue to come back and stay. We loved how the location was so convenient and we could walk most everywhere.
We love borrowing the peace of your houseboat! Perfect walk to downtown. Lovely deck to enjoy a glass of wine while the sun sets. Thanks for sharing!
Marcia was an extraordinary hostess. We arrived in Tropical Storm Ophelia and deck hands made sure dock lines were secure. The unit was lovely and fully stocked. The property manager guided us to lo0cal attractions and made sure we were safe and comfortable in the torm. We will be back. Thank you.
This was an amazing place to stay. The fact that it is a houseboat makes it very unique. The fact that you are in Wilmington off the river makes it beautiful. The houseboat itself is also beautiful. We will be back. No doubt.
We had a wonderful time. It was quiet and relaxing. The only con was having to leave after only staying 2 nights. I would absolutely love to come back again sometime with my family.
Very clean property. I highly recommend and would like to visit again. Great access to the river walk and access to great restaurants,
The houseboat was immaculate. Coffee on the upper deck overlooking the water and sunrise was lovely. Great experience.
Great long weekend trip in a unique property!
This place is so cool and unique!
What a wonderful place to relax! The houseboat was everything and more than we ever expected. It was just as described and we will definitely return.
Our trip was awesome! Weather wasnt too great but that didnt change the peaceful surrounding area. Great place to relax and also have a unique experience with alot of amenities near by.
Great stay and very cool concept! Will stay again!
The place was lovely and very well suited for 2 couples. The location was on the River Walk and very accessible to the historic district as well as great restaurants. I gave a 5 because we loved being there. My one complaint is that the pillows are huge and very hard. When returning I would definitely bring my own. I have never had this problem before when staying at a VRBO
We had never been on a house boat & this made the trip to Wilmington so much more enjoyable. It’s right down on the dock - pretty conveniently located so we walked everywhere. The house felt brand new. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work too well. But we didn’t come here to be online. We enjoyed the ambiance instead. Also, you’re on the water. So expect a few bugs / mosquitoes. It was VERY nice & enjoyable. Comfortable bed. Really clean. Nice furniture. Full kitchen. Terrific patio/deck. Easy process. Highly recommend & we WILL be staying here again sometime.
We had a great stay. The unit was extremely clean. There weren’t many other guests there and we spent a lot of time on the top deck, enjoying the weather and water. We were close to a lot of great restaurants which we walked to. We would go back, especially for a concert given the proximity to the amphitheater. A note to housekeeping: I suggest leaving an extra roll of toilet paper or two. We had an over abundance of paper towels.
My husband and I had a wonderful 2-night experience at The Cove! The Houseboat is beautiful and clean. When we arrived my husband and I both expressed how it would have been nice to have another couple with us to take everything all in! It's a very spacious houseboat! Every angle is eye catching and luxe while simultaneously giving a plush and homey feel! It's for sure a relaxing retreat and close to downtown. My husband loved sitting on the 2nd floor balcony and watching the boats pass and the activities going on at The Marina Grill (which has good food by the way. The Kitchen Sink was another restaurant fave!). There were friendly residents/guests as our neighbors. Marcia is accommodating, responsive, and vibrant! Everything was great overall, even the stocked coffee and flavored creamer was a plus! This is an experience we would reserve again as well as recommend to others looking for a quiet getaway/retreat!
We loved our long weekend on this houseboat! Once you walk inside, you have no idea you are actually ON the water (unless a small wake goes by - then you feel it)! The inside is beautifully decorated. We felt like we were inside a beautiful beach condo. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated the open communication from the owners and even the extras - they knew we were surprising our kids for New Years Eve, so they included some sparkling juice and NYE party favors. We love forward to going back in the summer!
Neat place - worth the additional $ compared to what we'd have paid for a hotel. Views of the water, docks and downtown. Really enjoyed sitting outside on the 2nd floor deck overlooking the water
When I booked this I knew it would be a fun, unique experience and it was that and then some! Beautifully decorated, perfect location (literally in the water) right at the Riverwalk. Easy walk to restaurants, breweries, shops and other attractions in downtown Wilmington. The communication was great and they were super flexible and accommodating, adjusting our stay just a bit so we could avoid the impacts of Hurricane / Tropical Storm Ian. We will definitely be back!
