Exactly as pictured! I would recommend renting a car if you are coming from Seattle area since rideshare out to Gig Harbor gets expensive to the area. The boat is definitely in a walkable area with some street lighting on the main roads. It felt quite safe!

We loved our stay on Lyla! The hosts were responsive and kind. It was easy to find, and I love that we had an assigned parking space. The yacht is gorgeous and more spacious than I expected. The hosts have clearly taken great care in creating the space. We had a wonderful time, and I would totally come back!

My sweetheart and I take turns doing surprise get aways for each other. It was her turn to do one. Imagine my surprise when she pulled up dockside to a group of boats. I was completely puzzled. Then she informed me that we would be staying on one. We boarded the Lila F. and were astonished at how beautiful the boat is. It is parked in Gig Harbor, a wonderful small city near Tacoma, Washington. The boat was meticulous, stocked with lots of treats and fun information about the boat. We loved reading the history of the building/refurbishing of the boat. It was so much fun to sit in the Captain’s chair and imagine being off on the high seas. The good news was that there weren’t any rough waters to contend with. The sleeping quarters was so comfortable. Lovely furnishings. Two bathrooms was really nice. We ate at the Italian place Il Lucano within walking distance, and at the Mexican place El Pueblito. Both were fabulous. And do not miss breakfast at the Devoted Kiss Cafe. Having a beer next door on the deck of Seven Seas with a glorious view of Mount Rainier was the topper. This will not be our last time there. Gig Harbor has lots of lovely parks for walking and strolling to shop was unbeatable. Extremely reasonable price for the boat since you are buying an adventure, not just a place to stay.

The yacht was a cozy sanctuary that made every moment unforgettable, and it definitely deserves a 5-star rating! The host went above and beyond, checking in to ensure everything was perfect. I can’t recommend it enough; we absolutely loved it!

We had a wonderful stay on the LYLA. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the wine fridge and french press for our coffee in the morning. The welcome bottle of wine and snacks were greatly appreciated and such a nice touch. We would love to go back and explore more of the area as there seemed to be much to do within walking distance.

We just returned from our stay on Lyla. The boat is beautifully maintained and clean. When I reached out to the owners with a question, the response was quick. The only issue we had was trying to figure out how to initially get to the boat. I would also add that if you walk with a cane or crutches it might be challenging to get to. One of the kiddos with us is in a wheelchair and it was difficult for her to get to. Even with that being said, I give it a 10/10

We had a good time staying on the boat. It was enough room for four of us and a great location. We took out kayaks right from the dock and could walk everywhere. The bunk room needs improvement. The top bunk has a window and it makes the sheets and bed damp and the whole room musty. My son actually got sick on the third day and I think it's from the bed. My suggestion is to block off the window. Otherwise, we enjoyed the property.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time staying aboard the Lyla. Unique and cozy, it was a fun adventure in a beautiful location. We did have some issues with the bunk beds getting wet from some sort of leak during a very heavy downpour that displaced one person to the couch for 1 night. Griffin provided new bedding and a dehumidifier to help dry things out and the mostly dry weather for remainder of the stay kept things comfortable.

We had a great time staying on Lyla. It has a gorgeous location and walking distance to everything in downtown Gig Harbor. The yacht has been remodeled beautifully and is light and bright. The owners were excellent to work with and they had a bottle of wine waiting for our arrival. Do bring slippers or socks with a little bit of grip because there are two sets of stairs within the boat. One of the best moments was drinking our coffee on the day bed surrounded by beautiful views of the harbor. Thank you for sharing Lyla with us!

We just stayed on the Lyla and it was a beautiful boat and the pictures were very accurate. The hosts were great with communication and my friend and I felt very safe at the property and the general area. The beds were very comfy and the linens, towels and blanket provided were great. The only downside to it all is the stairs are very tight and steep. If you are plus size or have mobility issues it may be a bit difficult. Overall it was a great place to stay in a very nice little town with lots of close shopping and dining. Would totally stay here again!

We had such a great weekend in Gig Harbor aboard Lyla. The boat was beautifully appointed, quiet and comfortable for us. Far more quaint and unique than a hotel room in town, for the same price, and close/walkable to everything we need. Hosts were very easy to work with and responsive to messages. We will definitely book again and recommend to friends. Thanks again! .

What a magical spot this ‘boat hotel’ is in. You are located close to many food options but yet it was so peaceful to sleep and wake up in. We were lucky enough to have Mount Rainier make an appearance and you just have to walk up the ramp from the boat to see it. The boat is equipped with everything you will need.

This was a wonderful experience! Well appointed and comfortable. Loved sitting on the deck and comfy beds. Hot shower was great. Boat reno and decor is beautifully done. Location is perfect for walking to everything. Kayak use was such a treat and great to get on the water. A few kayaks need help with seat backs, but we had no problems; there were others to choose from. Felt very safe in town and in the Net shed.

My 8-year-old and I really enjoyed our time on Lyla. It was super clean and all plumbing worked perfectly which I worried about given that it's a boat. Our only negative was that the bbq wasn't really usable, the freezer didn't work, and I didn't find a toaster. That said, the owners were super friendly and the boat is amazing. My guess is that they'll get these things figured out. We'd definitely stay again.

Who doesn’t love Gig Harbor?!? And LYLA is a perfect and picturesque place to land. There were 3 of us, all women, celebrating the 75th birthday of the “kid” among us. We were dazzled by the interior and found it most comfortable. Hated to leave. Will certainly return.

I surprised my husband with this booking for his birthday. It was a fantastic surprise and one of the most unique VRBO experiences we've ever had. Our kids loved it and couldn't wait to get back to the boat every night. We used the kayaks and the kids took turns jumping into the chilly water. We met our different boat neighbours and felt right at home. Our only regret is not booking a fourth night. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Kenzie and Griffin!

My husband and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary on Layla after dropping our daughter off at summer camp! Staying on a yacht was definitely a bucket list experience and Layla did not disappoint! We were enchanted by her story and our hosts journey restoring her! Every corner has been tastefully decorated and restored... I never knew how much I love antique brass 😍. We greatly enjoyed waking up with mimosas overlooking the harbor! Dont miss dinner and a drink at the tavern right next door! We will definitely be back! Only complaint is a little outdoor table for drinks and cards would have been great!
