Staff was very nice and room was very clean!

Yes the person at front desk was purposely unpleasant and kept asking what day we would depart. Even though I said we were staying two nights he still insisted I tell him the name of the day, I told him I had been on the road and wasn’t sure what day it was, he’d only say that it was the 28th but I had to tell him the name of the day, the 30th wasn’t acceptable to this guy!?! He told me I should leave then and I realized that this unwelcoming hotel was not a place to stay. So we left. I have reported this to VRBO and I couldn’t find or to connect with the subsidiary agency Roompicks that had some how booked our stay.

Rooster crowed at all hours of the night. Never slept more than an hour at a time. The room was very loud and in poor condition.

Clean, well thought out amenities

Great place to stay. We used the rental bikes which made it easy to travel the entire key.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the food truck and entertainment. Room was clean. Our housekeeper reached out to make sure the accommodations were suitable. They were! I wish there were more pet friendly areas since it is a pet friendly resort.

For a hotel rental, it was a great choice for my first trip to Key West with my daughter. We knew the accommodations were located off the beaten path, but it was a short, inexpensive Lyft ride to get to the old town area. We enjoyed the quiet pools and variety of yard games available for entertainment. The bars were well stocked and had sufficient options. There were pockets of times during the day that could have benefited from more bar staff. The breakfast and lunch menus offered were reasonably priced and well prepared. The room seemed quite clean and was very comfortable for the two of us. Basic accommodations, but perfect for slumber after a day of adventure. One bonus was the Starbucks located in the building! If you are looking for a low key, laid back atmosphere, the Blue Flamingo is a terrific option.

Amenities were great. Lots to do.

We had a wonderful stay at The Blue Flamingo in Key West! The location was absolutely perfect — close to everything and easy to get around once we settled in. The property itself was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming.The only hiccup we had was on arrival — we got in late, and our listing referred to the property as “The Tropical Playground,” which caused some confusion. We spent about 30 minutes driving around at 11 p.m. trying to find it, only to realize that the Blue Flamingo which was listed as a “resort nearby” on VRBO was in fact the name of the place that we were staying.Once we figured that out, everything went smoothly from there!Overall, our experience was fantastic. The stay exceeded expectations once we were settled, and we’d happily stay here again. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Key West!

Clean rooms and comfy befs

Check in was easy. Resort is under construction. A couple of small problems with the room. Elevators went down. But overall nice

When we booked we understood that the price included taxes and fees. When we arrived we found out that 50 dollars a day was called resort fees. Also there wasn’t a restaurant on premises other than hamburgers and things like that. The swimming pools were dirty and the water was cloudy. House keeping was poor. Staff was friendly enough but the lady that was the room didn’t understand English.

This place was great!

It was okay . The pictures online make it look way nicer than it actually was . Room air conditioner made an awful noise. The handle to the bathroom door was broken. Stated it was completely renovated but was done poorly . Looked as if they slapped some paint and called it good .
