Single Queen Cottage

Check in was straightforward. It was a quaint option that we were able to enjoy with our dog. Quick drive to central areas and the beach (30 min walk).

Nice clean, well-maintained property, fairly fresh paint, hard flooring looked in good shape. Would definitely stay again. The only negative was very little sound barrier between the unit we stayed in and the next one, it was very close, it looked attached to us. We could hear lots of what went on next door so we knew they could hear us as well. We were quiet but life happens. Some traffic noise from the street but it didn't bother at night, mostly heard it early morning, about sunup. Overall, a very good experience.

The address for the stay took us elsewhere, and so we had to do more searching to figure out where it was. Check-in was not super clear, but the host was quick to respond. It was clean, and an easy check out.

VRBO was cost-effective and conveniently located to attractions of interest.

Close to everything and very pet friendly!

quick and easy process, awesome place

The office staff @ One Double Bed Cottage was helpful each time I stopped in to the office. The lodging was clean and orderly. Housekeeping staff were efficient and friendly. Pet accommodations were great. This particular cottage was next to some sort of boiler unit that emitted a loud knocking sound (10 p.m. & midnight, daytime.) It was difficult to sleep through that noise. There's a friendly neighborhood surrounding this property, which was good for pet walks. We would stay at this lodging again.

Not fancy but all we needed,clean close to town, updated older cottages

Room was clean and bed was comfy. Great location. Walls are paper thin. I could hear the next door conversation

I had read ahead of time that the walls were very thin.... and they are!! But everyone tries to be quiet and most things settle down by 10. Parking is VERY tight, but it worked out okay. Room itself was fantastic.

Room was as advertised. Right next to Truck Route so a little loud, but room was clean and comfortable.

Nice clean room with a really comfortable bed, one thing only that needs improvement, I could hear the next door bathroom sounds and flushing of toilet

Cottages were spacious and clean. I will definitely stay here again when playing golf courses in Monterey.

Cozy and comfortable.

The price is very good. The cottages are old and a bit run down walls are thin and you can hear everything that’s happening. Neighborhood is great and each cottage has a parking spot. The place could shine with some TLC. But it is rundown

Not super fancy, but great location (walking distance from downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea), decently comfy bed, plenty of space. Bathroom and furnishings a tad dated, but worth the money.
