The room at the Captain's Table was not clean when we arrived and were issues our keys. We were given a better room at the Ivey House. Both hotels are managed by the same group with check-in at the Ivey House. The room at the Ivey House was nicer and the property appearance was better and looked better maintained.

I usually LOVE the Everglades and normally stay at the ivy house but this time stayed at the captain’s table. The room was not clean when we got there so she switched rooms. The beds were to small and extremely uncomfortable. For some reason the mosquitos were a lot worse than normal. Couldn’t go outside without being directly in the sun because we were swarmed at any shade or when it was dark. I know the Everglades is a swamp and I know there are mosquitoes but this time was bad. The front desk lady was very nice and helpful but if I go back I will be sticking with the ivy house or the newer one connected to the ivy house. The captains table needs completely redone. The bed sheets in our room we were switched to were used. They remain the bed with the sheets and blankets. They were stained from the previous people.
