We always try to leave objective reviews, but this was one of the most disappointing stays we’ve had. Communication with the host or management was extremely poor — on the day of arrival, we had no check-in instructions and almost had to book a hotel before finally receiving a late reply. The apartment has a good location and decent layout, but that’s where the positives end. It was not clean, dirty dishes and greasy bathroom (I had to wash it myself with the broom and hand soap) and worn towels. We also found small cockroaches, endles fruit flies, and small spiders, which made it clear the place does not have regularly plage control. The kitchen was poorly equipped compared to other rentals we’ve stayed in, only a few low-quality utensils, (all pastic and teflon) which is bad for health, no basic supplies like soap to shower or detergent, and the blender they brought us didn’t even work. Overall, this place needs much better management and cleaning standards. Good location, but poor communication, poor hygiene, and minimal amenities made the experience frustrating.

Kitchen had all updated appliances.Bathroom was niceFurnishings were ‘minimalist’ and couch had sag in middle. Convenience to Metro a plus.Biggest issue is that there was no closet or place to hang clothes. Without a closet cannot call this a 1 Bedroom or price it as a 1BR. Owner very responsive.

Nice location! Close to the metro and plenty of food options nearby. Parking is sometimes a challenge, but found a nice spot for the week just across the river

The location worked out perfectly for my business trip. It's almost across the street from a metro station. I had meetings around capitol hill and others near the convention center and it was easy to get there. I walked over to the Eastern market area for drinks and coffee a couple of times. Groceries are a short walk away.

Great location. Subway was 3 minutes up the street, and 3 stops to all the main sights from the Capitol, mall to monuments. Good access to Arlington cemetery and Ronald Reagan Airport. If you are staying here and plan to spend most of your time out and about, this place is adequate. It is small, and no closets to hang clothes except 4 pegs by the front door. Kitchen was nice to cook a couple of meals.Big negatives were, all window were looking out at stairwells or window wells blocked by the next door building, so there was very little direct light. The fire escape well which leads to the garbage can is filthy with junk and spider webs. The window in the bedroom looks into the fire escape well, and just above the bedroom window was an all night security light, that not only illuminated the fire escape area, but also the bedroom.Great for young and flexible people, not so good for older people.

We stayed here in mid-April for a family spring break trip. The location was as advertised, very clean, safe building with secure door, and the neighborhood felt very safe. Great places to eat within walking distance, and the metro station also just a few mins walk away. Close to Eastern Market that is a great location for more food options, all of the greater DC area, easily accessible via metro. Host was responsive, place had all the amenities we needed. Sofa bed was very comfortable and had an inflatable mattress available.

This was perfect for our 4 day vacation in DC during the cherry blossom season! The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, and it was a very short walk to the nearest metro stop. There was a Safeway within walking distance which was very convenient as well. John was wonderfully responsive to every question we had.

The apartment was in a great location. We really enjoyed the food hall located a very short walk away and often used the Metro which was a short walk as well. The host was very responsive to all of our questions. It was very clean and included everything we needed for the week. Highly recommend!
