Stayed Apr 16, 2025PROS: - Simple, clean room -- As a traveler, I spend most of my time exploring the city than being in my hotel room. This room was perfect because all I needed was a bathroom and a place to sleep. No extra frills needed. - Close to everything -- This hotel is practically in the center of the city, and is close to many bus/train lines that can take you to all of SF's attractions and neighborhoods. Many good restaurants are within walking distance. - Friendly staff -- The receptionists made checking in and out very easy. - Overall nice, modest hotel -- The property is clean, and neatly maintained. Spa water provided in the lobby. CONS: - Downtown area -- Being on Market St. is both nice (b/c you're close to everything) and kind of worrisome b/c it's not the safest part of SF -- a lot of suspicious people lurk around outside at night. - Noise -- Police and ambulance sirens, people yelling outside, big city noises all through the night. - No mesh screens on windows -- (Just my personal preference) Open for fresh air, be careful to not let the birds in. My room did not have a view, just to the wall of the next building. NEED IMPROVEMENT: - Room was not ready -- When I arrived at my room, there were PILES of towels and sheets stacked on my bed. I needed to have it all cleared out before I could use the room. It was an honest mistake on their part; they were using the room as temporary storage for the linens. Not a bad thing, just need to be more organized.

Stayed Jul 16, 2025Was a little turned off at the cramped entrance and elevator. Room was adequate, but with no screens on the windows I had to choose between city noise and bugs over sweating. Bathroom window was also covered in graffiti from the outside.Parking was also a huge pain.

Stayed Sep 23, 2022I really enjoyed myself. I got to be there on my birthday and watch a show at The Warfield. The Edwardian was a perfect little place to call home while I was there. I felt safe. Parking communications was not what I’d hope for, but next time I come I know how to plan accordingly. The staff was awesome!!!!
