Decent, 2 bedroom unit on the first floor. 4 queen size beds that were comfy. It has a washer/dryer combo in unit which was great since i stayed for 9 days recovering from a kidney donation. Unit was furnished with a small couch and two armless chairs, a small pub style table and 4 stools around an island. The area is decent, mostly residential. I was able to get outside and walk a little bit. With a few small updates this could have been a 5 star stay. Small things like a rusted shower curtain rod, light switch missing the cover, toilet paper holder apparently broken off the wall numerous times and poorly repaired, very dirty air return vent. Also, for my entire 9 day stay, there were garbage cans lined up in front of the windows (both for this address and the neighbors). Not a pleasant sight day after day. Also, the building is pretty old, i was on the first floor. The noise from other renters going up and down the stairs and inside the unit above me was horrible until 4 am. I finally (after 4 nights) had to complain. I do not blame this on the host at all, it was just very annoying as I was recovering from surgery.

Great location, 5 minute uber from most of the downtown area, coffee shops and restuarants within walking distance. The upstairs patio was a great place to end the day and the place looks exactly like the photos. I would definitely recommend!

Overall, the stay was satisfactory.Cons: We encountered initial difficulty accessing the rental due to missing code lock and handle on the side door connecting the garage area to the side of the complex. Although not a major issue, the side door to the rental was locked from the inside. We determined that my husband could park in front and I could unlock the door for him after he parked. There are locked gates between the buildings, requiring a walk around through the alley to return to the front. The building has three rentals; only the Penthouse is labeled, and the furnishings differ from photos—no bunk bed, but two queen beds per room, which we preferred and different living room furniture. Unlabeled laundry detergent in a clear bag was unclear. Outdoor dining was uncomfortable due to weak floorboards and poor access, limiting use. Upstairs noise was noticeable.Pros: Owners responded quickly to questions. The property was well-stocked, clean, and secure, with a convenient location and garage.

This property is perfect for those on a budget but still want a great location in the city of Chicago, the photo description of the property was slightly off, we were told there would be a bunk bed and pull out couch (per the photos and description) but neither were present at the property. The property was clean especially the kitchen and bathroom but there we saw ants on the floor and a few other bugs that grossed us out, If you are expecting some luxury stay this is not the place for you, it is very bare bones, BUT if you are just looking for a cheap place to crash in a great location. This is the spot for you.
