Nice spot close to the gondola and downtown. Property shows its age but remodeling in bathrooms is nice. No frills, but staff is friendly and the included breakfast is a welcome addition. Would stay there again.

Overall we had an excellent experience. I loved the location. It was right next to the river. It was walking distance to the gondola, Bear Creek Falls hike and restaurants. It had a cute rustic charm. My family enjoyed the board games left in the room. Only thing I’d say I didn’t love was the bathroom was really small and kind of hard to bath and get kids ready in, but we made it work. Also, I had read reviews about the amazing breakfast, but was a little disappointed to find that that is only during peak seasons. Also, I’d have loved if the pillows were bigger. The bed was fine, but the pillows were very flat. And just be careful walking down the loft stairs in socks ?, I almost fell down them a couple of times. Overall, I’d recommend it, and I’d likely stay there again.

Very cute lodge, just as pictured. The room was a bit hard to open due to the door code box being worn out but the property was easy to access at all times and there was always an inn keeper around if you had questions. Breakfast options were good.

Older property but very enjoyable stay. Perfect location. Right on the river, close to the heart of Telluride nice market 2 blocks away. Friendly staff. Bathroom a little tight but not everyone is 6’4. Nice breakfast. Would certainly stay here again.

Great place to stay, definitely not for the older since quite a few stairs, but quick and easy walk to right in the middle of town and all the restaurants! Clean and beautiful scenery, right on the river!

We had a super week in Telluride and Alpine Lodging was a large part of it. It was perfect for 3 of us. Location is great, short walk to the Gondola, and all that town has to offer. Great views, especially leaving the unit in the morning. And, the hot tub is wonderful at the end of a long day! There were some minor challenges: stairs to loft are steep, but the bed is super comfy once there. Going down on sore legs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom can be rough. The couch is saggy, and badly needs new cushions &/or mattress. My son chose to sleep on the built in cushioned area next to the couch, instead, which was fine. The TV has a ROKU, but it wasn't set up to allow guests to use their own and required a code, so inquire about getting a code in advance if, like us, you are looking forward to catching up on some award nominees after an early dinner! Last but not least, we had a really hard time finding the unit after checking in. Once we did, we had a hard time entering. Alpine Lodging would really benefit from handing out a rough area map, or at least showing people ON a map in case the check-in person meant 'their other left.' The office is several blocks from the unit and calling typically results in voicemail. The office returned calls quickly, but standing in the snow with luggage is not so fun. Also, the check in person should emphasize the need to enter the # and/or * in the entry code keypads at the property. In fairness, the email with entrance info does say: enter all symbols, but when tired it's easy to mistake the # key before a set of numbers as just a designator that numbers begin here.... All that said, these were minor things, and once past, our stay was great. Management responded promptly, we loved the location and everything about Telluride.

Great location in Telluride! Enjoyed having the mini fridge, fan, and plenty of room to spread out with the loft bed upstairs. Highly recommend!

I liked this place but ... Pros: - Right next to the river - great view off the balconies - shared kitchen, porch worked out well. - got the place before 4pm Need to work on: - the queen bed was a super hot memory foam mattress - too small for a spouse and adult kid. (downstairs bed was a thin cover and using the pullout coach would have made the room unusable. - VRBO - sorry, but they overcharge guests with too many fees. Would have used AirBB but they were pretty sold out. - no room for luggage

Basically a ski in ski out condo at the base of the Telluride gondola. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Including the broken hot tub.

Overall we had mixed feelings about the place. The lodge advertises a hot tub, but when we got there it was closed since it had been missing a part for 1.5 weeks. This should have been disclosed at the time of booking, or at a minimum at the time of check-in. We ended up going out in the cold in our swimsuits only to realize it was shut down. The checkout process needs some work - the listing says check-out is at 10 am, but the door code stopped working at 9 am. We got locked out of our room and had to call guest services to get back in. We ended up missing out on at least a half hour of mountain time because of the delay. Other guests ran in to the same problem and weren't pleased either. The location is great, but you'll end up parking at least a few blocks away with the single street pass that is provided. Internet works fine, and overall decent value for the location despite some issues mentioned above.
