It was nice enough for a b&b. Strange that there was no employees on site. The window in our room had no shades or curtains.

The tiny room had a good shower stall but hot water too 10 min ti arrive after opening the hot side of the faucet. Three of six bulbs over the sink were out and not replaced upon request. The window A/C blows directly over the pillows, something I cannot tolerate having learned by experiences elsewhere that such sets me up for a case of pneumonia. I could not turn it off (off switch seemed faulty) so I finally unplugged the unit While it was only 57 outside, there seemed to be.another source of heat so I was too warm. I finally opened a window. 'the bed was not comfortable for me so I hardly slept at all. After struggling 3 hours, I finally got up and retired to the communal lounge. Yes there was a TV that worked, but the coaches were post Salvation Army grade and I almost needed an asset to get out of either of them. This was were 'breakfast' was served, that is self served: packet of flavored oatmeal, some yogurt a non-protein bar, and coffee that reminded me of my fathers description, bettery acid. We are 81 and were pleased that a young person helped carry our bags to the second floor. But the stairway was extremely poorly lit (a single fixture with 3 25 watt bulbs suspended 12 feet above the landing. I was so unhappy with the facility that I decided not to eat there, a restaurant that is supposed to be very good. But one look at the very hight prices listed led me do decide go to Classic Pizza a block away.

It’s a quaint historical building in great shape for being 100 yrs old. Lovely dining experience in the attached restaurant. We loved it.

Excellent stay, nice clean room and beautiful area. Walked to small town and cute park on the lake. Only stayed the one night and did not have time to dine in the beautiful restaurant.

This was our first visit to Central Lake. The town looks quaint and inviting. We didn’t have time to enjoy. The room worked nice for our party on Torch Lake. It was quiet. The room is cozy but the bed was a little small for a tall couple. We would come back.

Even though there was a community room to watch TV, I will say that it would be really nice to be able to watch TV in your own room after a long days drive. The restaurant/bar was not open when I was there so my sister and I were the only ones there all night. No employees. This would have not been strange if it had not been a business/hotel type place that was sizable. The room was clean and as described so it was fine. There were many steps to climb so if you have physical issues with that, take it into consideration.

Pretty run down and dirty. The water takes about 10 minutes to get warm. AC unit in the window was very noisy and musty smelling. Blinds were broken and the windowsills hadn't been cleaned in a long, long time. The property manager was very responsive and did offer to send someone when we couldn't get the air working.

The Blue Pelican is a little outdated but the price was right. Loved that there was a great restaurant with wonderful food and live entertainment right down stairs. My room was clean and comfortable. The common lounge could use a little updating and some new furniture. Hotel is a little out of the way but I would definitely stay here again.
