Ten Bits Ranch has some of the most beautiful views in the Big Bend region of Texas.
The rugged off grid Ten Bits Ranch site was chosen for its breathtaking views of the dark sky stars, red craggy rocks and the beautiful sunrise and sunset over the surrounding mountains.

Guests may have a complimentary self-serve continental breakfast or prepare your own meal 24/7 in the full guest kitchen and dining area in the shared Cantina space.
Ten Bits Ranch is just (20) minutes from the Big Bend National Park entrance and (20) minutes from the historic Terlingua Ghost Town. Ten Bits Ranch is (20) minutes from local activities like the Big Bend rafting companies, Big Bend Stables horseback riding and the local bars & restaurants like the famous La Kiva Restaurant & Bar, Longdraw Pizza, Starlight Theatre, DB’s Rustic Iron BBQ, Chili Pepper Cafe and High Sierra Bar & Grill.

Experience REAL West Texas off grid living in the Big Bend region with your own off grid oasis and 550-acre private park.
Hike and explore right outside your room without the rules and limitations of the public parks. Hike with your pet, bring your ATV or motorcycle, build a fire, visit our shooting range or just have a drink, smoke a cigar or read a book on the porch or by the firepit and look at the beautiful mountains on the hotel property. Let the hundreds of acres and nearly complete freedom create a unique Big Bend experience.
Ten Bits Ranch has some of the best views of the famous Big Bend stars. Since Ten Bits Ranch is completely off grid and located on 550 private acres, there are no neighbors and no ground lights to obscure the perfectly dark night sky.
The amazing solitude is extremely quiet and peaceful day or night. If you come to Ten Bits Ranch when the moon cycle is dark, after 20 minutes (for your eyes to adjust), the stars will appear to surround you like a blanket. Be sure to watch for shooting stars. There is a shooting star in view at Ten Bits Ranch almost every week. Ten Bits Ranch offers a truly private, unique, off grid, dark sky star gazing experience that few people have the opportunity to see in person. The craggy Chimney Rock Mountain blocks out a beautiful black jagged silhouette in the blanket of stars.
Well-behaved pets (and well-behaved people) are welcome at Ten Bits Ranch. Hike and explore at your leisure with both your 2 and 4 legged friends.
Thank you for considering Ten Bits Ranch for your Big Bend Adventure. Wherever you choose to stay, the Big Bend area is a wild, unique and a truly beautiful place that is well worth the trip.

I wasn't sure how comfortable I would be off grid despite all of the comforts of the cabins. The owners did a great job of preparing me and providing instructions. I was really grateful that there was a land line phone in the cantina, since there was no cell service. Also took advantage of their dining recommendations. The room AC was cool, the shower was hot. Would definitely stay there again.

Big Bend is out in the middle of nowhere and people that plan to go there need to realize that. That being said, Ten Bits was a great place to stay and offered all amenities necessary for short stays. The rooms are clean with Wi-Fi, clean bathrooms and amazing views! My only complaint Is that the beds are a little firmer than I would have liked. Other than that, a great place to stay.

Close to the Big Bend National Park and gorgeous view of the sunset. Roomy with two king beds. My only complaint was that the two mattresses were extra firm and I woke up with back pain.

The view was amazing. The room design of 2 king beds at 90 degrees made it great for privacy. Huge bathroom. The fire pit. Just a great property. Will book again our next time at Big Bend

First and foremost, you have yo understand that you are going to an OFF-GRID location. This isn’t a holiday inn or Cesars Palace. Everything about this place is amazing. It gives you a modern camping feel with a western style. You get to see the stars at night and amazing sunrises and sunsets. A/C works amazing and so does the WiFi. But if you go for a camping experience, you don’t really use either of those much. The ONLY thing I would add to this place is signs telling you set your GPS while on wifi, because as soon as you leave the property you lose signal for 30-45 mins in either direction.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had cabin 7 and it was very clean. Ample supply of towels soaps etc. The view right outside your doorstep is breathtaking and we had our own campfire and chairs were provided. There’s also a trail right past the entrance of Ten Bits that’s awesome to drive down in your car. Would definitely recommend!

Ten Bits Ranch was a wonderful place to stay. Private, clean, awesome view from the cabin & close enough to Big Bend. My daughter & I had a wonderful time! We plan to go back with the whole family! ?

Authentic Texas ranch vibe with beautiful viewsWe had a great stay. The ranch has a real Texas atmosphere quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by amazing views. The room was clean, and we appreciated having access to a BBQ and a simple breakfast. Everything was well organized and comfortable. It’s also conveniently located not too far from Terlingua town, which made it easy to explore the area.A couple of small notes: there were no animals on site like shown in some of the photos, and the bed was a bit firm for our preference.Overall, we definitely recommend it, especially room #7.

My stay felt warm and definitely welcoming. What stood out to me was the cute rock collection on one of the walls. Star gazing after my hike at Big Bend National Park was beautiful as well. I will be back.

The host was lovely to cancel my stay when I let her know the property was not in good working order. It was dirty, not well kept, broken furniture, dirty fridge, etc. I appreciate the refund..... The shower smelled so badly and flooded the entire bathroom. The views are gorgeous and the location is great and would absolutely stay if the property had been clean and well kept. I appreciate the host for the refund. She was very nice and responded quickly thank you.

Great view, great location, relaxed and comfortable. The only issue that we had was the shower drain didn’t work as well as it should. They attempted to fix it right away. I would definitely stay here again.

First time in the Big Bend area was an experience. We enjoyed staying at the ranch, it was very unique and special. We had everything we needed, would recommend others to stay there. Comfortable beds, hot showers, big skies and lots of stars were just a few of the things one can enjoy while at the ranch. We hiked around the property with our dog, and spent some time at the shooting range. Thank you Sis for letting us stay.
