The rooms were very large and nice for the 4 of us. It was clean, could use some paint on walls. Breakfast was hardly continental even. The water was really hot and would not get cool which following a hot day at Big bend would have been nice. It was even a bit too hot for the toddler to shower. The beds were nice, firm and big, how i like them. I know some do like them much softer than i do tho. Overall pk. My main complaint was the road going into the ranch. We werent warned about it until after booking it. They said if it rains, it is frequently impassable and you would get stuck. We had a 4x4 truck and had no trouble going in, it was dry, but were bounced around doing well under 8mph at times. If I had a car, i wouldnt have been comfortable at all.driving it.

Ten Bits was like a cute western town set in a beautiful mountain backdrop. The rooms were all a certain theme and they were very clean with comfortable beds. If you are into night photography- this place is excellent!! Such a beautiful foreground to add to Milky Way photos. My only complaint and it’s minimal is you can’t park by your cabin.

Loved the views. Excellent star gazing over the mountains. I thought the cantina was a great idea too.

The dirt road leading to the grounds is in bad shape. The air conditioner was not powerful enough for the room. The bathroom really needs an upgrade.

Ten Bits Ranch is a western-themed 8-cabin property with dirt road access and limited amenities due to being off the grid as far as infrastructure goes. The rooms were very clean and spacious with king beds. Limitations are one bathroom per room and ZERO closets, drawers, or hanging space for clothes. You'll be living out of your suitcase. The rooms have a mini-fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. The cantina has refrigerators to share, coffee, and food for making a light breakfast. Because this ranch is off the grid and supplies its own electricity (Solar), the rooms have to be powered down when gone, which means suffering with some heat issues in the summer months. Faucet water was plentiful although non-potable. The ranch itself is a work-in-progress and there is not much to do there except for fire pits that were nice to use at sunset. The hosts (Sis and Cowboy) are very nice and communicate well, providing plenty of info and advice on the stay. I hope the power situation improves because it would be nice to stay there in the summer months without losing A/C power and having an air-conditioned cantina to use. It looks like they are adding more rooms and more amenities in the future. A shaded area and even a pool would be a great addition for guests to use. Overall, the ranch is a good place to call home while you visit Big Bend but it is a rustic environment with few amenities. More like a campground with hotel rooms.

From the moment we pulled in we knew it would be a perfect little getaway! Once walked in the place smelled clean. Very cute. It was everything that is in the description. Wasn’t hard to get to, WiFi worked, lighting worked. I like that the floors were concrete. There was a small line of ants in front of the couch, and by the fridge. I only noticed because the kids pointed them out and were fascinated. (Maybe a total of like 10) Fire pits were perfect. And it really is right off a cliff side kinda. So your view of the sky is unobstructed. Gorgeous view. You are expected to keep outside lights off after 9pm. Minimal lighting. Clean towels, clean beds, clean shower, clean couch. Loved it so much!!!

We loved our stay here! Pet and family friendly. We traveled with our dog and two kids (8 & 6 y/o). The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were immaculate. We enjoyed the community fridge and continental breakfast - one less meal to plan. It was very close to Big Bend National Park and Terlingua. We would stay here again! Pictures are from a short trail next to the campsites.

We loved our stay at Ten Bits and plan to stay again. The views were beautiful! The property was full of charm, like an old western. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the patio had rocking chairs where we enjoyed watching the sunsets. We used the fire pit to make s’mores and used the shared kitchen to grab a snack. This property is also only about a 20-25 minute drive to the entrance of Big Bend where we spent the majority of our time. Not to mention Ghost Town where we enjoyed a great breakfast, shopping and history… Lajitas where we had some great pizza with a hometown atmosphere. Sis was great to communicate with during our stay. She was very helpful and easy to talk to whenever needed. Thank you, again, for a great stay!

A great place to stay housing was nice very comfortable. Everything was there as described went rock hunting and to the Apache cave which was really neat. It was right there on the premises. Lotta history from that area. If and when we go back we will want to stay at 10 bits Ranch again or we won’t go

Enjoyed our stay so much! Loved the ranch and the room. Really appreciated the great communication through email and text. The information regarding directions was very helpful. Especially liked the cantina. Had such a warm feeling to it. We cooked both nights of our stay I would recommend to anyone traveling to the park.
