This property used other facilities i ages in their listing. There are no staff present and we never received checkin information. No one answered the phone when I called the contact number. DO NOT reserve here.

The ad shows a picture of a restaurant that is across the street. Misleading advertising as to where you ate staying which is a run down motel that smells super musty. Very poor communication there is no phone number to call and email response is very slow. Very disappointing and no way to find a different place to stay.

As an owner of multiple vacation rentals; Good luck. For a single or two to have a place to sleep. OK? NO?! Aside from the lying, “exterior” photo, that’s NOT where you’ll stay just FYI, that’s a photo of the corner bar. It’s a strip motel. Like, “check the walls for holes so we aren’t being watched while showering” lookin place. We arrived HOURS after check in, with no response to our previous days messages about check out time, all we had as check inwas “sign is wrong outside, this your door number and this code”. Spent half an hour calling host upon arrival with NOT WORKING DOOR CODE, with no response while we sat in the cold wind and TWENTY THOUSAND MAY FLIES EVERYWHERE LIKE A MORTUARY. Like, in a scary movie of flies on a dead body, (here’s the place in town this bad btw, we walked everywhere and it wasn’t this bad). Didn’t get a response after ALL the calls; ended up going RIGHT to voicemail after so many, contacted VRBO and told them we’re locked out and want a refund, got a message back after about 45 mins (from VRBO) with a new code to let us in. End of first night seeing the “owner”trying to say I messed up trying to enter with the wrong code or how I entered…(I have the same system on my house!) doesn’t excuse the non answering!!! OMG the “office” was disgusting mess, not an office and no one on site the whole time. Rooms were big and roomy but bed sheets smell of mildew, shower surround had mold growing. Need some help and renovation and better customer service.

I'm going to start from top to bottom good to bad Location amazing just a short walk to the pier to take the ferry to Mackinac Island, short walk to the park and the bridge right next to all the little touristy shops that touristsCheck in and communication with the host I only used the verbal app to communicate with the host and every time they responded in a reasonable amount of time that being said I didn't see others trying to check in and contacting the host via phone calls and was having a lot of struggle contacting them I never received an email confirmation for the access code but they did respond on the verbal app so if you're planning on staying here just use the verbal app for communications Now cleanliness they have done some remodeling the walls look amazing but the carpet was disgusting the AC unit was very old the sign outside with the motels name on it really needed a fresh coat of paint. The exterior lights never came on so if you're coming back in the dark you're coming back in the dark. All of the furniture was very old very outdated none of the beds had fitted sheets so if you like to toss and turn at at night you're going to wake up sleeping on a bare mattress. But all in all I would probably stay there again but we only used it as a base camp for various trips to the UP ,Mackinac Island and other local shenanigansIf you're looking for a place to stay and you plan on spending a lot of time in the room I would not recommend it .

Location was great, we were right next to down town and Sheplers ferry. Unfortunately the host was unresponsive to messages and phone calls. The room was ok. It was clean but only appeared to be partly updated. The carpet and bathtub are still outdated. I’d recommend the room if you plan on doing a lot of activities and only need someplace to sleep.

Photos were very misleading, you cannot see the bridge from this location. The one picture is of a restaurant down the street. One person can barely fit on the bed let alone two people. Window air conditioner was filthy and didn't keep the room very cold. TV was difficult to use, and everything was unplugged when we got there.

Location is ideal. Room was mostly as advertised. No info about how to operate the TV or the wi fi password in the room. Communication w proprietor was not great. Bathroom had no shower curtain. Beds comfy. Heating worked great. Didn’t try the AC. Frig clean and functional. Nice budget stay for an overnight en route to Mackinac Island.

This is a super cute little motel. It’s right in the middle of downtown, so walking distance from everything! It was perfect and the host was very nice and helpful with questions and also responded in a great amount of time! Would recommend and would stay here again!
