Stayed Oct 1, 2023The property and location were great for a visit to DC. Lots of restaurants and shops and very close to Metro. The biggest downside with this is that it is a Wyndham property, so they managed to rope us into a timeshare presentation which wasted 1 1/2 hours of our vacation time. Use this review as a warning not to get roped into this when you do your second check-in at the property. If this had not occurred this would have been a five star review easy. We should have walked out of the presentation after an hour of telling them we weren't interested. Big mistake.

Stayed Apr 1, 2016We enjoyed our stay. The 1 bedroom/sleeper sofa suite was the perfect size for our small family. Whole Foods just 2 blocks away; Amtrak and Metro were just around the corner made for very a convenient location. We met 14 other family members from another state and the staff made sure we were all on the same floor. We appreciated this accommodation because of the ability to visit room to room just across the hall instead of separate floors. We would stay again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The Wyndham exceeded our expectations. So many plusses: very friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff, clean rooms and public areas, furniture and equipment in good shape, well-equipped kitchens, lots of free activities and amenities if you want them, a well-equipped fitness center (although it could use better air conditioning and more adapters to the TVs), and convenient to everything in Old Town via foot or the FREE trolley that runs along King St, as well as the Metro if you want to go into the District or take a commuter train north or south. There were only two minuses that we were able to handle well enough: if your apartment is located on the west side of the building, you’ll hear all the trains. So, bring ear plugs for sleeping or ask for an apartment overlooking the courtyard. Also, our apartment also had an odd feature: a large opening in the wall between the bedroom and bathroom over a hot tub. Read: no bathroom privacy if someone’s in the bedroom. With those caveats, we loved our stay at the Wyndham. We’d recommend it highly to visitors to the DC metro area.
