Popular Attractions
Fredericksburg
Founded in 1846 by German immigrants, Fredericksburg has retained much of its German history, with many of the older buildings keeping their original German styles. The town boasts a rich history, - including Fort Martin Scott, Pioneer Museum Complex and the Lyndon B. Johnson State and National Historical Parks - a booming shopping scene, known as Magic Mile (with over 150 shops, including antique retailers, candy shops and boutiques), an ever-growing art scene and an amazing central location to Texas's blossoming wine industry.
Stonehenge II
Originally erected for fun by two locals residents, Stonehenge II is 90% as wide as the original and 60% high. It has recently been relocated to the grounds of the Hill Country Arts Foundation along with two 13-ft. tall Easter Island heads and is well worth a visit.
Boerne
Boerne is home to four major attractions. The acclaimed Cibolo Nature Center with it's four distinct eco systems is popular for birding, hiking and exploring. Enchanted Springs Ranch is a Wild West Theme Park with exotic animals and an Old Western town. And there are two natural living caves- Cave Without A Name and Cascade Caverns.
Everything was beautiful and clean. Only down side for us was that everything on and off the property is closed by 10:00 pm even on weekends.
Our time here far exceeded any expectation we might have had for a three day getaway in the Texas Hill Country. It was remote and so quiet and peaceful in a beautiful countryside location, but it was convenient to other excellent venues in the area.
Great place to stay, but spent a lot of time driving, as most wineries/distilleries were an hour away.
We enjoyed the stay very much. VRBO listed didn’t (or we didn’t realize) depict the unit as a multi unit condo but the general stay was very nice
View was spectacular. It was so relaxing looking at the nice sceneries surrounding the property. A good way to forget the stress of city life. Unit was spotless. Beds were comfortable. The only disadvantage for us especially the kids since they love to spend time in the pool during our vacations, is that their pools are only open until 5 PM. You have to book with them at exactly 8 am each day to get your time slot of 2 hours only each time. So you can practically say you can only use their pool for 2 hours/ day. And it’s only open till 5 which means you have to swim on the hottest times of the day. So my kids did not really enjoyed that part. It’s boring since there’s nothing else you can actually do besides hiking and sightseeing a bit around the property since their activity center is also closed due to covid restrictions. It’s not the right place I think for families that are looking for fun activities to do in one spot like a resort supposedly should be offering. BTW, you also have to pay for your wifi service depending on the number of gadgets you have. So it was just an okay vacation for us.
Was nice wish it had a little better view than what it did but overall was a nice place.
We enjoyed our short stay while dropping off kids at camp. Unit was spacious and clean. Our 11-year old joked about the view from our balcony of a “magnificent tree”! Views from other units were no doubt much better as the property is on top of a hill with pretty views in all directions...except from our balcony. ?. We will stay here again. Quiet, comfortable. Awesome trails, cool stargazing picnic spot, great pool.
We had a niece relaxing time and enjoyed the pool and walking. We would have wanted to have more time to stay.
The property is a hidden jewel! Beautiful condo with beautiful views! We had a wonderful time. We will definitely stay again!
The entire property was awesome. Super friendly staff, great clean luxury units, gorgeous pool. Nice fishing ponds. Definitely will be our go to when we stay in that area.
