English, Spanish, and Tiwa-a Native American language-are spoken here. But the universal language in Taos is art.

Taos, in north-central New Mexico, has been a thriving artists' community since the early 20th century. One early artist in town was Nicolai Fechin, who passionately depicted the local landscape and Native Americans. WorldMark Taos is located behind his former home, which is now home to the Taos Art Museum.

Explore Taos and discover the beauty, the culture, and the people that make Taos and Northern New Mexico the Land of Enchantment. Seated in the high-desert mesa at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Taos is rich with art and steeped with history.

Popular Attractions
Enchanted Circle Tour
This National Scenic Byway circles Wheeler Peak, the highest in New Mexico, at 13,161 feet. The 84-mile tour goes through the towns of Taos, Angel Fire, Elizabethtown, Red River, the Veterans' Memorial and Questa. Don't miss stopping along the way to see the works of local woodworkers, tinsmiths, painters, stained glass workers, and sculptors.

Taos Pueblo
Located just north of the Resort, Taos Pueblo is the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Historic Landmark. The multi-storied adobe buildings have been continuously inhabited for over 1000 years. Pueblo artisans work in clay, leather, wood, stone and on canvas. They are inspired by timeless traditions. 3mi.

Rio Grande Gorge Bridge
The bridge is located 650 feet above the Rio Grande winding through the rough rock gorge on each side. The bridge was built in the cantilever truss style and is the second highest bridge of its construction in the country. Below, kayakers and river rafts pass, coming out of the famous 'Taos Box', a class IV rapids; above, hot air balloons soar. Feel the expanse of the Wild West in front of you, and the mighty Rio Grande beneath your feet. 11 mi.

Kit Carson Home and Museum
Taos is home to over 80 galleries and 6 historical museums including the Kit Carson Museum. Walk through history by touring the home and museum where American frontiersman Kit Carson lived with his family in Taos for 25 years. His nationally known reputation, experiences, and duties outside of New Mexico also brought generals, traders, mountain men, and congressmen from throughout the country to the Carson home. 0.2 mi.

We had a great time on the property. The kids loved the game room and the pool. The proximity to Kit Carson park was ideal for the concert we came to see.

The hotel is lovely! We have family in Taos and love to stay here. Tucked away but right in the middle of town, so it is quiet but still handy. Very clean and well kept property. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly.

The pictures don’t do it justice! Lovely unit and the woman who checked us in was so gracious. Lots of amenities, like a full community kitchen, pool, and hot tub. Great location! You can walk to the plaza, a museum, and many restaurants! The only thing that needs improving is the sofa bed mattress. Highly recommend! Great outdoor patio, too!

This property is in the best location - tucked behind the Fechin House museum (off the main road - no traffic noise - very quiet), across the street from Michael’s Kitchen, a couple minutes from the Plaza, and less than 30 minutes from Taos Ski Valley. Exactly what we needed for a long weekend ski trip to Taos. Thank you for the super fast communication and for sharing your getaway suite/condo!
